message:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/vlc-nox.postinst: line 4: 8614 Segmentation fault
/usr/lib/vlc/vlc-cache-gen /usr/lib/vlc/plugins
Just as a reference, launching vlc -vvv segfaults apparently for the same
reason:
