Could you please stop filing bugs for versions that are not in Debian? It
happened in the past that bugs filed for versions of packages from
deb-multimedia were not present in the official Debian packages.

 mpv -dvd-image dvdimage dvd://3

The dvd-image option doesn't exist, did you mean --dvd-device?

causes mpv to segfault (since mpv starts with 0 whereas lsdvd starts at 1,
track 3 for mpv is track 4 of lsdvd output)

let me know what i can do to provide more info.

I can't reproduce.

Would it be possible for you to upload this dvd image somewhere so I can test
this? Or even an image with only the affected track, if it still causes the bug.

It would be also useful if you could provide a backtrace of the crash (using
gdb) with the mpv-dbg package installed.

Cheers

dpkg -s mpv

i am still under the impression, that these tags designate the receiver of
bug reports -- if that is wrong, there's obviously a bug in reportbug --
and nevertheless it certainly wouldn't hurt to make your issue clear in a
less offensive way.
you did not yet say anything about that, unless i am supposed to read that

I don't know about that. This Bugs header is certainly not documented in the
Debian Policy. I don't know who invented it, or if the reportbug developers are
aware of it though.

If you refer to my message in #753265, yes, I realize that was rather enigmatic
(and I didn't intend to offend anyone either), in fact I let it slip without
explaining it any further because I could actually reproduce what was reported,
so it wasn't really that important.

That was not the case with this report, and that's why I expanded on that part
in my response in this case, in a way that, again, was certainly not intended to
be offensive (in fact, I think it was rather polite, but then again English is
not my first language so I may be wrong).

Now that this is cleared, please let's all get back to bug fixing.

Cheers
