There's several packages that ship a file named like that. The
directory name in /usr/share/doc// will tell you
the package name. Then do:

apt-get install --reinstall this_package_name

paragraph but not in the "Files" section (which was where I looked).

Hi Jasen,

the situation is still the same, but I'll close this wishlist bug now
because the .pgpass file is indeed documented. The psql manpage is
already very comprehensive, but it's not meant to be a complete manual
for how libpq works. (.pgpass isn't a psql feature, but rather a libpq
one.)

Thanks for the suggestion, though.
