python 2.5 bytecode problems
I am planning to build Python 2.5 (final version) on TH builders. This will cause major problems on your systems - you will not be able to run software, which is not rebuilt against Python 2.5. This situation is caused by bug in Python prior to version 2.5c2, which fixing required changing bytecode magic number (#1520864). Therefore, please do not upgrade your Python related software on TH based systems for few days till migration to Python 2.5 is finished. status of new linux-libc-headers ?
What is the status of the new version of linux-libc-headers? Some time ago Pawel Sikora wrote about http://headers.cross-lfs.org/ fork (they have 2.6.18-09252006 version now), there is linux-libc-headers/trunk/llh-2.6.18 on our svn. The current cvs spec version is 2.6.12.0-13. Are there any plans to incorporate the svn version to the spec on cvs ? Are there any incompatibilities when moving from 2.6.12 to 2.6.18 of the headers? Rebuilding glibc and ... ? Has anyone looked at http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/patches/hlfs/svn/linux-headers-2.6.17.11-08232006-unistd_x86_PIC-1.patch patch which adds position independent assembly for syscalls?
