What model combo are you using, Nat? I might be in the market.

Same with your screen? I see all sorts of claims to be "official".

Re: [PLUG] Clinic - Raspberry Pi

2017-08-11 Thread Chuck Hast
Give them a call and talk to them, tell them what you are looking for.
I was talking to them about a case to hold the RPi and a packet controller,
I need to pick it back up. They told me to drop by and take a look at what
they had, but I have moved to OKC so have to wait until I can get back up
there for a job so I can drop by. The packet card is same size as RPi, so
they figured something could be conjured up.

Buy local.

Those cases are sweet. They don't appear to have one that holds the Pi and
a 7" touchscreen though.

2017-08-11 Thread Chuck Hast
By way folks, here is a commercial plug for a local (NW) company that makes
great cases:

C4 Labs
https://c4labs.net/

If you need cases these folks probably have it and if they do not they will
work
with you to come up with it. It is all made right here in the USA, no
Chinese
stuff.

They even have 4 and 6 tower stacked cases (Bramble Box) for RPi Clusters.
They are located in Tacoma, WA. Great folks.

Re: [PLUG] Clinic - Raspberry Pi

2017-08-11 Thread Dave
Thanks for the kind offer, Nat. Let's watch and see what else shows up
before inconveniencing you. I'd prefer to use my own unit in a simple
plug and play setup if possible and not make any driver changes. I need
some help with a CUPS setup for printing, etc. and will no doubt have a
few more questions. I played with an early Pi and Arduino at the very
beginning, but find this new #3 much improved and impressive. -Dave [N.
