That's true. And the meeting name disappears after the last person logs off.

Make each meeting's name unique so it's not easily captured by bad actors

Dick,

Do you schedule a meeting for yourself to do this testing?

If so I'll set one up and try using two instances of zoom-linux (with a

I need to learn what screen share shows and how to take it down when

The microphone is harder. You can change it and test it, and see the bars
moving to prove that it's getting input. But I haven't found a way to play
back the sound to make sure that it's not garbled.

Ali,

I checked my headset (the Yamaha CM500, the only one working now) with
pavucontrol. The input VU bar bounced with the radio in the background and
my voice. The output tab showed the headphones selected.

Using that URL in firefox I selected Zoom as the device and confirmed that
the camera and headset worked; I could hear myself speaking as I looked at
the camera's output on the screen.

Now I'd like to learn how to test video and audio using zoom-linux. Should I
set up a meeting and be the only one to log in? What I want also to learn is
if I could use the screen share on small windows to display them at
appropriate times during my presentation.

I suppose there's a web site somewhere with that information and I'll be
sesarching for it this afternoon.

Stay well,

Which text editor are you using? Different editors have different

I guess I need to clarify this. I have a Raspberry Pi with a 7" touchscreen
in a mobile environment. I have several small text files of checklists and
quick reference information I occasionally have to look at real quick. I
just double tap the file on the screen to look at it then close it. My
problem is it is fairly small. I'd like it to come up larger making it easy
to read in a quick glance. No additional keystrokes or gymnastics or other
formats. Just double tap the text file on the desktop, read it, close it.

Thanks,

I suspect that works for only GUI text editors. Emacs, joe, nano and other
