NOTHING WILL COMPLETE
Well, I don't know about "nothing" but I try to open a libreoffice calc document and it won't open all the way. Theprogress bar goes almost all the way but not quite. So I try to open another but the same thing happens. And another and another. Then I try to update the computer but it won't. Then I try to update with apt but it freezes on apt-get update... this is the last line: 100% [Connecting to security.ubuntu.com (2001:67c:1562::19)] Then I try apt-get upgrade but the last line is: 0% [Connecting to mirrors.advancedhosters.com (2a02:b48:6:1::2)] [Connecting to So I don't know what to do h as I was typing it started the upgrade again. what is going on? -- :-)~MIKE~(-: --- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.phxlinux.org To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.phxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
Re: nvidia + linux
On 2016-11-25 15:00, Michael Butash wrote: Is this a consistent experience using nvidia and kde for others? Or nvidia + other wm...? Curious what people are using, and not being driven insane with catastrophic bugs, if folks *do * use multiple displays. I'm running a 1070, binary drivers, and KDE. I've been running Fedora 24 and I just upgraded to F25. I don't know if I'm running wayland or X, regardless everything has been flawless. I have 3 monitors left to right with the sides being 1920x1080 and the center being 2560x1440. I have had a lot of luck with the oss nvidia driver, except the fan would run a lot, otherwise it was fine. I stuck with the binary driver because it works. I have a script that runs in .profile when I log in that puts my monitors where I want them. xrandr --output DVI-D-0 --primary --preferred --auto --output DP-0 --auto --left-of DVI-D-0 --output DP-2 --auto --right-of DVI-D-0 Not sure, again, if that is doing anything, as I don't know if I'm running wayland or not. I haven't bothered to look. I just know it works and so am I. --- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.phxlinux.org To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.phxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
