working on drive with a kernel panic error

2023-07-19 Thread greg zegan via PLUG-discuss
Hello,  I am trying to follow this procedure on a Debian 9 machine that had a
kernel panic error and how sort of works, but doesn't shut down properly.  I
get this output for the command:

Re: Ambient light networking

2023-07-19 Thread Jim via PLUG-discuss
It looks like it could be something good, but they're not selling it
yet, and aren't making it available to individuals only OEMs. One the
site it says multiple times to download the product brief.  I clicked
the link but got a page asking for my email address.  I didn't fill it
in. I get too much spam as it is.  I'll wait to satisfy my curiosity
until somebody writes a review about it.

Your lighting is your wifi antenna, and modulates IR spectrums (like
your remote control) for data streams between access point "lights"
and a receptor client in, say your phone.  I've seen some concepts
over the years, but I'm genuinely excited for this sort of thing as
something actually shipping and even an 802.11bb standard for it now.

There is already power-line networking
, imagine your
home power network (110/common/ground wires) as the backbone and bulbs
are your access points to your switched data network and Internet.

Cool stuff imho.
