Re: Linux Basics
I loved Gentoo, It was an amazing learning experience and taught me a ton about how Linux worked and was put together. It also taught me what Linux really was and what a distro was. and the difference. I would not use it as a server or for my laptop/desktop. But I appreciated what it did for me. Re: Linux Basics
z, Great suggestion. Years ago I looked into Linux From Scratch however I did not take that opportunity... Your response made me think what I want to achieve. I am a PHP developer with some LAMP experience. My goal here is to become a full-fledged full stack developer. Seems that a full-stack developer is someone who can troubleshoot the entire stack. I think I have a lot of those skills, however there are some holes in what I know and I am a bit rusty. I have other goals, however becoming a full-stack developer is a lofty goal so I think I will start that for now. Thank you for your feedback z it is very helpful!!
