This has happened to me in the past and still does quite often with other
mailing lists. For whatever reason, i get a couple of emails flagged as spam
and i have to move them to my inbox. I make it a routine to check my spam
folder every other day and filter out any legit emails.

aria2 (http://aria2.sourceforge.net/) in another possibility and aria2 supports
other protocols as well. Actively developed and good documentation.

Sounds like OO.org is treating the file as a csv.

Try saving as odt.

I just saw this:
 http://www.archive.org/iathreads/post-view.php?id=186011
it appears to be just for one apt. [condo?] building (240 units)
vs. for a whole city -- (so maybe this is Mac OSXs and oranges).
but still, it sounds like Hi speed IP for 'some of' the masses, is
happening (it is not "game over" quite yet...)

Re: mini computer

Yea I suppose it is possible that there is the ability boot off of
the laptop and then to boot the other drives into seperate
desktops (I guess that is the right word). The only problem I could
forsee is that the laptop is the Microsoft box wheras two of the three
HDs have Linux on them. Might even be all three of them.

Ubuntu and madwifi

2008-05-26 Thread der.hans
moin moin,

at the LoCo InstallFest there was a problem getting the madwifi drivers to
compile and work. The question made it to the list as well.

Today there is a kernel update for Ubuntu that might help.

   * Madwifi 0.9.4 (LP: #208754):
 - fixes compilation for recently released kernel 2.6.24

Still need to get the kernel update before trying to use it.

ciao,

der.hans

I just looked at how it is saved (from the command line) and it is
saved as a text file). I right click on the icon, open it as a
document, save that, and close it. I then reopen it and it comes back
