Re: ABLEconf dates?
Hmm. I had not correlated that many conflicts. There is a committee now running Desert Code Camp instead of one person. Hopefully that changes/softens any adversarial targeting by someone. If I get the sniff of any such specific nonsense, I will call it out. In fact, I will ask some people about it in the next week. Good to hear there's been an expansion of the leadership for DCC. Nobody wins when different community organizations act in an adversarial manner. On 10/13/2011 06:46 AM, Alan Dayley wrote: Hmm. Re: ABLEconf dates?
If this turns out to be true, I guess I will have been to my last DCC. I have noticed an apparent lack of FOSS content in recent camps. No ruby any more, and 1 (out of 80) session on Linux. Is someone going to contact the DCC committee in an attempt to work out scheduling conflicts? Perhaps picketing at the the upcoming DCC would be appropriate if the direct method is fruitless. -- -Eric 'shubes' On 10/13/2011 07:58 AM, Joseph Sinclair wrote: Good to hear there's been an expansion of the leadership for DCC. Obviously, if there has been purposeful scheduling to conflict with a major FOSS event, there will be less FOSS content at DCC.
