I'm sorry to have missed it too. The dust is still settling a bit from my migration to Ubuntu 10.04.1(LTS) over the weekend. Not exactly bleeding edge, but I like the stability and it's current enough for me. I've checked out the webchat.freenode.net and it's working OK as far as I can tell... He probably ended up on a different irc network and created the up until then nonexistent #ABLEconf. As channel creator he was automagically given operator status in the channel.
