[SlimDevices: Plugins] Last.fm Remote Commands

2006-02-24 Thread delbz

Hi guys. I tried searching for the answer but couldn't find it.

How do you use the remote control to Ban or Love a song when
listening to a last.fm radio station?

Thanks.

To Clarify...

Go to Plugins - Internet Radio - Last FM - Song.

Then use up and down to love/ban it etc.

Do I have to do this sequence each time, or is there a shortcut?

Go the Last.FM menu, get the current song playing in the window,
scroll down for Skip, Love, Ban and Change Station.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Execute Script plugin

2006-02-24 Thread danco

This is a bit of a weirdy, as I can't think of any changes I have made
that could be relevant. But my script (to make my computer sleep) has
suddenly stopped working, though it used to work fine.

The script is ok, it runs fine from my computer. But if I try to run it
from my SB, it appears to run (it shows running script ...) but does
not make my computer sleep.

I have double-checked that the script is executable for all users.

Mac OS 10.4.4, SlimServer 6.2.1.

By the way, the description in Execute.pm still claims it to be 1.0,
even on the latest version.

There is also buttons available in the statistic lists to add a track,

The new version is available at my download page as ususal.

Any chance you could add Most/Least played Albums to the available
stats on the web interface???

 Thanks I will do that.

Ok I tried turning --d_source on and noted that **the problem goes away

menu again, the problem with broken link to song happens again.

Further are my conclusion so far:

- If I run from slim.exe from the CMD prompt, the problem goes away.
Does not matter what -- switches I put on, or even no swith.

- The problem only happens with FLAC files, not all FLAC files, just
newly added FLAC

What gives, this is getting wild.

Whatever the problem was - and it would be interesting to find out why
it happened - I am glad to say that stopping Slimserver and restarting
it cured the problem.

well, slim.exe would be running as you, the user.

the service would be running as the system user.

Permissions can vary, mainly when using network mapped drives for one.

you can run the service, turn on d_source and open a browser to
http://serverIP:9000/log.txt

and look at what the problem is there.

If you are using mapped drives, there is an item in the FAQ for dealing
with shared volumes

ignore that. it's $VERSION that matters:
$VERSION = substr(q$Revision: 1.12 $,10);

James,

Any further updates? Is there another install procedure that I can
follow in Mac OS X?

I am not sure whether SlimServer even sees the plugin as per the
install guide.

Thanks,

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Live Music Archive plugin question ...

2006-02-24 Thread teatime

Comment and a question or two on the Live Music Archive plugin, from a
guy who just got his SB yesterday (using server 6.2.1 on OSX Tiger):

- many, many thanks for adding this functionality. Having access to the
LMA is amazing. I grabbed about 10 plugins last night and this is my
fave.

- The only place I encountered problems was with Grateful Dead shows –
they were yielding errors. Is it because there are often multiple
options for shows (ie – 3 different sources for the same date) or
because the access rights to Dead stuff were recently reconfigured? Or
am I merely doing something wrong?

- One other thought I had for a similarly themed plug-in, if any coders
are interested: Sugarmegs is a site with a huge offering of streaming
concert files (http://tela.sugarmegs.org/_asxtela/) – would it be
difficult to add SB access to that directory? Grabbing the band names
might be difficult, but the abbreviations are descriptive enough that I
think a user could manage by just browsing the file names.

Thanks for any help you can provide ...

I looked back at some old forum entries and say other's have had similar
problems. No clear answer how to fix it. I've tried starting iTunes
before Slimserver and leaving it running, but it doesn't help.

Here's an example of what i see in the log. This is from a clean log
so I'm not getting other information.
2006-02-24 16:27:33.7187 iTunesUpdate: Failed to launch iTunes!!!

not found in iTunes

Here's the version of SlimServer I'm running
SlimServer Version: 6.2.1 - 5194 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252

I'm running WinXP Home.

I'd suggest starting slimserver with the --d_plugins option and having
a look at the output.
Try this with the plugin in both of the possible locations.
You can send the output to me and I'll have a look.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Email.pm --- Reading Message Body can get the wrong message

2006-02-24 Thread martindolphin

In Email.pm, if multiple mailboxes are specified and a message in a
mailbox has the same message ID as a message in another mailbox in the
list, there is a condition under which the wrong message body will be
shown.

When viewing a message header from a mailbox that is early in the list,
pushing right to read a message body results in the display of the
message body of another message that has the same message ID that is in
a mailbox that is later in the list.

The Perl code does not know which mailbox the message header came from,
so the algorithm results in the last match being returned. It needs to
match the server and user to get the correct message body.

Great questions. My SB3 won't arrive till next week, but LMA access
sounds great...I'm thrilled hear it can happen. Now a SugarMegs

So the problem is that discovery doesn't work at all right now for any
