[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: IR Blaster/Repeater Sensitivity
Hi Natan Ok, another thing you could try. Using the Learning Wizard, could you learn the IR command in question and see what happens if you use IR Blaster and the 'Test' button in the web-interface to replay it? Let's see if your Sky+ box shows the same effect? Also, could you post the learned file? Did you try different buttons on your remote? Is the Sky+ box always seeing this buttons twice through IR Repeater? If you would like to see debug output you need to change the debug flag within the IR Blaster plugin.pm file. Hi psb4me Do you have more than one player connected to your SlimServer - everything counts (SLIMP3, SB1/2/3 and SoftSqueeze)? If so, could you try only hooking up your SB3 alone and try again. [SlimDevices: Plugins] SlimScrobbler, Last.FM and multiple players
hi, I've had slimscrobbler submitting my tracks from a Slimp3 for a long time, and used the last.fm plugin to listen back to my radio station - both excellent editions to the Slim experience. However, recently updated to a Squeezebox3, so have the two players working together synchronised, and that's great!! BUT, they only work reliably with slimscrobbler plugin turned off. With it on, the play pauses at the point where it tries to submit the track. Also, the track is NOT submitted anyway after the pause. Has anyone out there got two players with slimscrobbler working? Or do I have to turn submission off permanently now that I have synced two players? Also not much point having the lastfm plugin if I've no submission happening :- Ta, Alex -- alextegg alextegg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5073 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23216 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: SlimScrobbler, Last.FM and multiple players
SlimScrobbler debugging can be tricky: I'm having problems submitting at the moment (getting a network error), so they're probably broken. On an Slimp3 with the much smaller buffer, you may get dropouts when that happens depending on the exact failure. They've been having problems the past couple days, keep an eye on http://www.last.fm/forum/21713/_/51596 for their status. -- snarlydwarf snarlydwarf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1179 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23216 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: RandomMix slow with large library
Well seeing that nobody else seems to be seeing this, I've done some more digging around. Streaming Flac to a SB1 see's the problem Streaming mp3 doesn't So I did some testing and found that when streaming Flac the SB1's buffer holds around 1 second of music, streaming 128kMP3's it holds 15 seconds. An SB2's buffer holds around 37 seconds of Flac. So it seems that anything that blocks streaming for over a second is going to stutter an SB1 steaming Flac or wav. [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC / file types
Hi all, I've been struggling with the AlienBBC install (so, what else is new?) on a Linux Fedora Core 5 system. After following the excellent tutorials at http://www.ripcaster.co.uk/node/18 and http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_AlienBBC_on_Slimserver I feel like I'm almost there. The standalone tests of mplayer from the linux command line show that all is well -- no errors (no speakers to prove definitively, but no errors in the output). The problem is, when I actually try to play a BBC station on the Squeezebox, the display reads, "RTSP file error". The instructions on gentoo-wiki say, "Login to the SlimServer web interface (default http://slimservname:9000) and check that AlienBBC is listed under Radio." Check. "...Next, go to Server Settings > File Types and look for the section: RTSPFLACmplayer.sh/flac RTSPMP3 mplayer.sh/lame RTSPWAV mplayer.sh Check NOT. I see *no* entries at all in the File Types menu for RTSP. Any ideas? Thanks. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: AlienBBC / file types
The RTSP file type should be installed as part of the AlienBBC install. If you are running slim 6.2.x - check that you have installed the files slimserver-convert.conf and custom-types.conf in the same directory as convert.conf. You could start slimserver.pl with --d_plugins to see if there are any error messages at startup. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23226 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Michael, I had not previously looked at the search facility in SlimRemote but having just done so I'm not sure if it is not working or I am misunderstanding its function. I select "Songs"from the drop down list and am prompted to 'enter at least 2 characters'. Putting in a few characters and hitting enter then quickly - and as far as I can see, correctly - generates a list of songs. The trouble is that it doesn't seem like you can then do anything with this list. Clicking on the listed songs appears to do nothing, as they are "dead" items.
