Can you try changing this setting from the player itself?
Plugins->SlimScrobbler->Change Account (or similar)

I only recently added the per-player settings to the web interface, and
it's entirely possible that they only
show the accounts that existed when SlimServer was started.

2006-10-13 Thread thing-fish

I just set my wife up with a last.fm account, as she has started
listening to our server over the internet at her work. However, while
the SlimScrobbler plug-in let me enter a second account on the Server
Plugin pages, when I go to the page for her player I find that the
account selection listbox only lists "Default." Actually that's the
same with all the players: though more than one account is setup in the
Server Plugin settings, there is only one account ("Default") available
on any player page.

Is there a workaround to this (i.e. can I edit the conf file in the
meantime)?

Thanks much!

PS: I just noticed that there was a SlimScrobbler group on last.fm:

member count to 297! Very neato.

If you create a new menu using the "Genre Libraries" menu type you will
be able to get a menu like:

Code:

Wife's Music
  Artists
(All artists with tracks with "wife" genre)
(All albums for selected artist with tracks with "wife" genre)
(All tracks with "wife" genre for selected album)
  Albums
(All albums with tracks with "wife" genre)
(All tracks with "wife" genre for selected album)
  Genres
  (All genres)
(All artists with tracks with both "wife" genre and also the selected genre)
(All albums for selected artist with tracks with both "wife" genre and the
selected genre)
(All tracks with both "wife" genre and selected genre for the selected album)

This menu can either be put below the "Custom Browse" main menu or
directly in the main "Browse" menu. It will not affect the other sub
menus below the main "Browse" menu, they will still work as usual and
include all artists/albums/tracks.

It is also possible to create similary menus for "Wife's Arists"
directly below the "Browse" menu but there is no wizard available for
this yet.

The genre filtering can be done both with include and exclude, the
sample above is using include only.

Currently it is not possible to create a menu thats only available on a
specific SB, but I have been thinking about this and if there are
requests for it I might add it to a future release of Custom Browse.

A while back I tried to do something similar (using the context menu). See:

So do you think it would it be possible to associate a small
application / a plug-in or the Slimserver itself with music files like

types?

Yes, feasible. See the thread above about possible limitations/problems.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Direct Play Function from Windows Explorer

2006-10-13 Thread cosmo

Hi there,

I'm really missing a feature when using my Squeezebox that would enable
you to browse your music with Windows explorer and start playing a song
just with a double click on the file.

So do you think it would it be possible to associate a small
application / a plug-in or the Slimserver itself with music files like
.mp3 and let them become the default Windows player for that file
types?
I think it would be great and easy to browse through your music in
Windows explorer and if you find a song you like, just double-click it
and instead of like WinAmp it plays on the Squeezebox. To make this
even more comfortable a right-click-option to enqueue the song to the
now playing list would be also cool.
This would also have the advantage to be able to play songs that are
not in the server library yet, like new downloads you just want to try
out or sound files that you don't want to add to your library at all.

To make something like this possible, probably the Slimserver function
to play an internet radio station address could be used. If you enter a
file location into the Radio URL field on the Internet Radio user
interface of Slimserver in the format file:///C:/folder/file.ext, it
plays the song wherever it is located on your hard drive, no matter if
it is in shared folder scanned by Slimserver or not.
So basically it would just need to find a way to get the address from
windows explorer to that interface of Slimserver.

Besides this I also noticed that the browse folder function of
Slimserver sees any new files without rescanning the library. Don't
know if this could be of any help either.

Let me know what you think of this and if somebody might like to
program something like that... :)

Thanks,

cosmo

ok, change that line to:
if ($compare_track->album && $compare_track->album->id &&
($compare_track->album->id == $current_track->album->id) &&

any better?

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Using RadioTime plugin in 7.0 causes ReplayGain crash

2006-10-13 Thread Phil Meyer
I'm running with 7.0a1 - TRUNK - Windows XP - EN - cp1252.

If I select to play Splash via RadioTime -> My Radio -> United Kingdom -> Live:
Splash, the squeezebox buffers the stream, and starts to play the station.
Then SlimServer crashes, leaving the buffer playing on the disconnected
Squeezebox.

My log reports:

Can't call method "id" on an undefined value at
P:\Music\SlimServer\trunk\server/Slim/Player/ReplayGain.pm line 128.
