[SlimDevices: Plugins] Lame with SLIMP3 and Squeezebox
I have Lame installed on my Slimserver, one player is a Squeezebox and one player is a Slimp3. All my music is encoded in FLAC. How can I ensure that the server is not transcoding the FLAC files to mp3 for the Squeezebox but is transcoding the files for the Slimp3 ? Is it the Bitrate Limiting setting? Perhaps I am doing something wrong then, because when I paste this URL into the "Tune in URL" -- it says: "Now Playing (Checking Stream...)" but then just dies and the SB reverts to show my weather and date/time screen. Is there a reason why you want to use AlienBBC? If you check 'this page' (http://sr.se/cgi-bin/mall/artikel.asp?ProgramID=2321&Artikel=787720) you'll find windows media links as well. It happened the first time I tried to run MC2Slim after installing this version. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but it does the same. I've installed AlienBBC and Mplayer and its working fine for radio 1 for example, but when I click on "Sveriges Radio P2" it displays: "Now Playing (Checking Stream...) Sveriges Radio P2" and does this for about 5 seconds, then the display goes back to my default weather and time display. Do i need to update anything or am I missing something? I have run the install pack on http://www.x2systems.com/AlienBBC/ and now slim server is showing Alienbbc on the internet radio section which is a step forwards. When I try to access it I get left with a screen on my slim box saying CONNECTING and nothing happens. A new version (1.11) of the CustomBrowse plugin is now available, the new functionallity and changes are: - Corrected so Filtered Genres and Genre Libraries menus so it only shows artists within the selected genre - Added support for various artists in all filtered menus and libraries menus - Made it possible to select if various artists shall be activated or not in each menu - Updated so mixer icon is shown on SqueezeBox when a mixer exists (for example MusicMagic mixer) - Automatically exeucte a mixer after holding play if only a single mixer exists - Made it possible to change menu sort order with a number on each menu - Made it possible to create a DynamicPlayList menu connected to a top level playlist group (Requires DynamicPlayList 1.7 or later) - Made it possible to create a TrackStat/Statistic menu connected to a top level statistic group (Requires TrackStat 1.31 or later) - A lot of the builtin default menus have been removed in this release, they still exists as menu templates so you can easily create them if you want them. The idea is that only the most common menus shall be builtin and available by default, the rest has to be created by the user. NOTE! This version has only been tested towards slimserver 6.5.
