[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: Announce: BottleRocket -- control amp power with X10, no hardware mods

2006-12-22 Thread peterw

Sorry, very poor testing on my part.

I just played some more with SoftSqueeze, and I seem to be having
trouble with 6.5.0's subscribe mechanism. I cannot seem to reliably
subscribe to more than one command, and this plugin needs to be called
for several different commands.

I've just made a "1.8" that I hope will work, using the (deprecated as
of 6.5.x) general callback mechanism. At least with the 6.5.0 tarball
release, it seems to respond to the various different ways of changing
a device's power.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: Announce: BottleRocket -- control amp power with X10, no hardware mods

2006-12-22 Thread peterw

And if you use the remote control or web interface to turn the player
off and on, all you see are more lines like

2006-12-22 15:55:29.6934 player Bedroom is already at power N

where "N" is "0" or "1"? Or does it always say "1"?

Time to do more SoftSqueeze testing, perhaps. :-(

I'm not sure what else to say. I'm using 6.5.0 on Linux with 0.6.7 of

Please explain. I got the same error for itsonsirius.net and
itson.siriusbackstage.com. If I type the url directly into the browser
for any of the 3, I can go directly to those websites.

Thanks.

2006-12-22 Thread ericj

Thanks so much for the update. I had concluded that the problem was the
changes needed to be compatible for 6.5, and rushed to try your 1.7.
Unfortunately, no joy. It never seems to output the command
appropriately, i. e. I never see the output of

$::d_plugins && msg("executing command: \"".join('
',@cmdArgs)."\"\n");

Only the output of
$::d_plugins && msg("player $name is already at power $power\n");
as this excerpt from the log file shows

Its not clear, but the br command never seems to be executed.I'm
not enough of a perl programmer to see why, I'm afraid.

Any suggestions?
Thanks much for all the help so far...

I want to say...this is your best release, so far. Great
improvement, for me any way.

Personally, the type is about right on my screen. Before, it was too
large. I am running in a 1280 by 1024 resolution. (which is the native
resolution for my LCD screen)

Thanks for the work you put into this.

Bruce

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: Announce: Plugins for rating and "smart" playlists using SQL

2006-12-22 Thread Pale Blue Ego

Erland, I wanted to thank you for your efforts in creating these
excellent plugins. I hadn't even noticed that TrackStat now includes
the feature I requested (1-10 rating scale) and has for some time!

The feature set is massive compared to the last time I used TrackStat,
and it's all very impressive. I really like how I can apply ratings
right from the web interface. The automatic backups are a great
feature, too.

Keep up the great work!

As it's christmas time I uploaded 3.02 with the new NOTESYMBOL tag.
"NOTESYMBOL TRACKNUMBER" will do the job for you. Have fun!

[SlimDevices: Plugins] SoftSqueeze 3 - High CPU usage

2006-12-22 Thread gonk

After upgrading to SlimServer 6.5.1 and SoftSqueeze 3.2.1 the CPU for
the process has increased to 50-60%. The display sometimes flickers.
Fiddling around within the remote arrows, the CPU sometimes drop to a
normal 1-2%, but after a while, probably when the song title is
updated, the CPU will increase again.

I connect to my SlimServer over Internet.

Used SoftSqueeze 2 / SlimServer 6.3 a lot earlier with the same
configuration without any problem.

SoftSqueeze: 3.2.1
Slimserver: 6.5.1
Java: 1.5.0_02
WinXP pro SP2

Any ideas?
