Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Problems with AlienBBC on Ubuntu

2007-02-20 Thread bpa

By design AlienBBC doesn't work with the the URL
//slimserver:9000/stream.mp3. It will work with Softsqueeze and other
Slimdevices clients.

See this thread.

Working nicely for me on 6.5.1 Win/XP. My votes for future enhancement
would be for internet radio and support for random mix.
Thanks

Another vote for more efforts on SlimFx. orks great with Mac OSX 10.4 +
Safari.

This is leaps ahead in performance and simplicity for users, I agree
with the last post - internet radio and random would make it complete.

The multiplecustomtagstracks template works, at least with my test
involving only a few songs and some fake tags. I did not notice the
difference with respect to whether you can select a track with one
genre, but I trust that is true.

Thanks for the information on the program architecture. I'm sorry I
did not find and consult your WIKI earlier.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Power on through IR Blaster / Amplifier delay

2007-02-20 Thread Danguard

Hello everyone :)
Today i received finally the IRBlaster and immediatly i let him learn
the power on of my amplifier, but now i have a "problem"..
When the squeezebox is powered on, he starts immediatly to play the
music, but my amplifier is still not ready, so i always miss the first
3-4 seconds of the song...
I already searched on the forum, but seems i'm not able to find
anything :|
So i would like to ask you if there's some way to tell to the
slimserver or the squeezebox to wait for some seconds before starting
to play once it's turned on, just to give the needed time to the
amplifier :(
Someone can help me to sort out this thing?

Sorry if someone already solved this, really.. i was not able to find
the correct thread :|

Are you sure you didn't misspell the name? SlimFX is flash based - either
you get it or you don't. But you won't get any html menu if it's correctly
installed. Yeah, and give that slimfx folder all the right slimserver
needs to be able to read it.

got it going.. added slimfx directory into a slimfx directory..
really like it.
Great! nicer than default or softsqueeze.
If playing an album I agree that it would be simpler to just show a
single larger cover art. Small individual song cover art works for
playlists.. but it would be cool if the art got bigger as each song was
played.. a "now playing" art window.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Lazy Search Music Plugin v2.3 Released

2007-02-20 Thread Stuart Hickinbottom
Sorry you're having trouble.

I've not seen anything like that before - I believe there are a lot of
people using it with 6.5.2 so you shouldn't be having any trouble (I'm
finishing an update for 7.0a1 so haven't been using the stable builds
for a while myself).

It looks like the MySQL instance has fallen over - I suspect that's
happened /before/ my plugin has tried to update the database, but
there's some investigation that can be done to try to determine whether
that's true.

Could you try turning off my plugin and doing a complete
clear-and-rescan in SlimServer and seeing if it falls over again? If the
scan seems to complete try a standard search through the remote and also
browsing the library through the web interface.

If that works could you re-enable my plugin and restart SlimServer. It
should re-lazify the database at that point - does it fall over again?

Let's see if we can track it down.

Disabling and then re-enabling the plugin seems to have done the trick!
- Thanks -

Good luck w/ the 7.0 build - there are a few plugins I will need before
I make the move to start testing the unstable waters; yours is one of
those!

You no longer need a Partner ID or password. I signed up on WC and
received neither. I put s null spaces in each entry on the Slimserver
weather time plugin setup and it is working fine. Since the plugin was
released it seem WC has changed the requirements to make the service
more open and easy to use.
