[SlimDevices: Plugins] Last.fm and Global Tag Radio
I have recently had difficulty with global tag radio on last.fm as outlined in 'this last.fm forum thread' (http://www.last.fm/forum/21713/_/264921/1). There is a particular 'last.fm tag' (http://www.last.fm/tag/mms) I have been using that had "insufficient content" problems on the last.fm player but played perfectly well in the flash player. The 'beta version' (http://www.last.fm/group/Audioscrobbler+Beta/forum/30705/_/269275) of the last.fm player fixes the problem. However, the last.fm plugin for Slimserver will not play the radio station. I have no idea how last.fm fixed the problem in the player, so don't have any pointers as to how this should be fixed. -- smc2911 smc2911's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4388 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35223 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicIP Mixer (Music Magic) Intel Mac
OK So I downloaded the MusicIP Mixer application. It's been scanning my library for about a day so far, and it seems to work quite nicely as a stand alone application. I'm pleased with the wat it communicates with iTunes, and it all appears pretty intelligent. But, as always, I'm having trouble with the Squeezebox part of it. My server settings seem OK (port 10002) - I get the connection is OK result from the application. So what am I supposed to see on the SB ? I see all the settings for Music Magic, and the one thing I have noticed is the following SlimServer can use your MusicMagic program as source for title and genre information. Additionally you can generate instant mixes on genre, artist and song level. Check the box below to import your MusicMagic Library information. I noticed that if I said yes to this and then rescanned my library. Everything duplicates. I don't want this. What is supposed to be happening on my SB ? I'm not sure I fully understand. -- grifforama grifforama's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11239 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35231 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

I've seen item duplication in two cases: - you have non latin characters in your file names/paths - (on Windows) you don't access the same path on SlimServer and MusicIP, eg. the UNC \\yourserver\yourshare and its mounted counterpart drive Z: or something. > What is supposed to be happening on my SB ? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Newbie plugin question
Hi all, I apologize in advance for the VERY newbie question, but I would really appreciate some help. I've been a Squeezebox3/Slimserver user for a few months now. I was running Slimserver off my Infrant ReadyNAS, but just yesterday moved Slimsever over to a Vista PC. So far, so good. One of the main reason I moved Slimserver over to a PC was to start trying out some of these great plugins I've been reading about. I downloaded the XM plugin, and put it in my Programs/Slimserver/server/plugins folder. However, I don't understand or know how to engage the plugin. It doesn't show up on my Squeezebox under the plugin option, and I don't see XM plugin in the Slimserver menu. I made the change to "load plugins on the fly". Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Alien BBC shows No programs found
The "DNS" message is misleading but it does indicate a "problem". At startup slimserver checks for the presence of DNS servers - if it can't finds them it logs their unavailability. This can happen if slimserver starts up as part of startup and the networkconnection is not fully online - it can take a while (maybe 30c or a 1min) for DNS servers to be setup. The result of the DNS check is only used for some HTTP transfers (mainly related to setting up an audio stream) but not the main AlienBBC parsing ones. So your DNS is working but it wasn't when SLimserver started and some of the main Slimserver code is looking at the remembered status which says "DNS not available". That explains the problem and a number of uiser shave experienced but restarting just Slimserver usually resolved it. When you restarted Slimserver - did you restart without rebooting the system ? -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35238 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

No letters, even with multiple presses of the > buttons. What am I doing wrong? (Hope you don't mind me answering this, Stuart) Hi Sams, The behaviour you describe is the way Lazy Search is intended to work. In fact, if it worked by cycling through the letters with each key press, that would be no different to the standard search functionality. The whole point of LazySearch is it cuts down the number of key presses required for a search by working a bit like predictive text on a mobile phone. As an example, say I was looking for a song containing the word "five". Using traditional search (that rotates through each letter on a button per keypress), after selecting search and "song", I'd press the following sequence of keys: 3,3,3 ("f") 4,4,4 ("i") 8,8,8 ("v") 3,3 ("e") That's 11 key presses Using lazy search, I can just press: 3,4,8,3 That's 4 key presses - quite a difference. The difference in usability (as you noticed) is that the display cannot show the letters that are being searched for, because that sequence covers a few combinations - each number represents 3 or 4 letters (that's why you just see the numbers on the screen). The vast majority of those combinations, though are very unlikely to retrieve any songs, as they don't make any sense (for the above numbers, it will also search for "dgtd","egtd","fdgd" etc.) Hope that helps. I guess Stuart could explain it much better! -- SadGamerGeek SadGamerGeek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6145 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29551 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Most of the code in Custom Browse has been changed in one way or another in this release, so there might still be some bugs. So I appreciate all reports on things that doesn't work yet. Some changes currently requires a SlimServer restart, so if you have problem try that first and report here if something required restart but wasn't stated beside the operation. Some screen shots of the new album and artist pages has been attached, the information in the header is fully configurable. The same is also the case with the menu when you hit right when standing on "Now Playing" on SqueezeBox/Transporter. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Ignuz connection alternative?
Relative to the Recording portion of using Ignuz, if I have a D/A with Dual outputs does it make sense to run the same channel output into the recording input as is being played through the speakers? For instance, if I'm running the Left Channel signal through the speaker, should I actually then take the secondary Left output from my D/A into the recording device? In the example on the website ( http://inguzaudio.com/measurement/recording-sweeps/ ) it shows the Right channel going in while the left speaker is being played, but I'm guessing that was done assuming either using the analog out of the SB, or using a D/A with only one output pair. -- tonyptony tonyptony's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3397 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35250 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Ignuz connection alternative?
Yes. You want to end up with a recording where one channel is the "loop-back" (analog out, directly in to the recording equipment) and the other channel is the room measurement from one speaker (analog out, through your amp and speakers, to the microphone, to the input). The sweep signals are stereo, so be sure they only play through one loudspeaker at a time... -- inguz inguz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1139 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35250 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: XMRadio v1.1.1 updated for SS 6.5
Hi, I'm enjoying the XM plugin very much, thanks to the folks who developed it. I am getting some random (every 3-10 seconds) dropouts or hiccups when listening to any channel. They are very brief, and not a true pause per se, more like a short skip. Any ideas what could cause this? I'm running Slimserver 6.5.1. -- SamS SamS's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9261 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29867 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

>From reading the Apple and other forums posts - the problem is that the router seems to be blocking RTSP TCP traffic on port 554, 7070 and 8080. Since the Reciva products (e.g. AE Wifi Radio) also use RTSP and is also blocked - make me believe this is not a mplayer specific issues but a TCP protocol one. The solution when using RealPlayer seems to be to use the HTTP (port 80) rather than RTSP to transfer the streams and mplayer doesn't support this option. There may be some sort of confusion within the router since Apple Quicktime uses RTSP on port 554 but Apple's version of RTSP is different to Real's version. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Multilibrary 1.3 cannot find library definition files
Erland, Thankyou for your recent updates to your plugins. However, I am having some issues with them. Most importantly, I cannot get multilibrary to work at all. I had some libraries defined with the previous version. There seems to be a problem parsing the files. I have tried creating one of the libraries again and forcing an overwrite of the existing file, but multi-library doesn't list any of the libraries. I see errors like the following: 2007-05-14 07:43:58.2402 ERROR: ERROR parsing template: undef error - fileurl: filter not found 2007-05-14 07:43:58.2409 ERROR: Failed to parse configuration because: File does not exist: at P:\Music\SlimServer\trunk\server/Plugins/MultiLibrary/ConfigManager/BaseParser.pm line 327 2007-05-14 07:43:58.2412 ERROR: Unable to open file: M:\Music\Slimserver\Libraries\surround.ml.values.xml File does not exist: at P:\Music\SlimServer\trunk\server/Plugins/MultiLibrary/ConfigManager/BaseParser.pm line 327 Phil ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
