Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Skip plugin
I know there are several users with the same issue, encoded surround tracks. I initially solved that problem by tagging all digital music with a Surround Sound genre tag. I then set up a filter in Custom Skip to avoid playing tracks with that genre. However, when the option became available, I switched the CustomSkip filter to skip tracks within my Surround Sound library (defined via MultiLibrary as all songs within a certain folder), as this is more full-proof, should I forget to add the Surround Sound genre tag to any tracks. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Problem with Lazy Search beta for SC 7
I have a small problem with Lazy Search. If I do a song search using the latest Lazy Search and the latest build of SC7, getting some results, I can't press right to access the information about a particular song. This used to work in previous releases. An example: I press search, and then search for loving her. I get two results: He Stopped Loving Her Today and He Stopped Loving Her Today. Now, I know one of these is by Johnny Cash, and the other is by George Jones. If it's only one of these that I'm interested in, I used to press right to get to the information about an item (i.e. the list you get when you press right on Now Playing, presenting artist, file format, size etc). With the new version, pressing right only takes me to the original list, again and again. -- strindberg strindberg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11265 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40345 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Wave Input plugin v1.00
It is not clear whether you read the readme.txt files - it is in both zip files v 1.01 and v1.02 Also this wavinput only works on some versions of Windows - XP works but I think Vista doesn't. The key text is 4) On the Windows Sounds and Audio Devices Control Panel, select the Audio tab, and set the desired audio input as the default device for Sound recording. The audio input settings can vary according to your audio hardware and so it is a matter of testing the options. First you should test whether wavin2cmd is working before using it with slimserver. The following is from memory so some details may not be quite correct. To check whether wavin2cmd is connected to sound. 1. Open a command prompt window. 2. CD to the Squeezecenter directory which has the wavin2cmd.exe executable. 3. Get some audio out on PC sound system you want to capture 4. run the following command wavin2cmd.exe -o audiocapture.wav 5. Wait for about one minute and then stop wavin2cmd. 6. Check the size of the file audiocapture.wav - it will be large if it is capturing audio even if silence. 7. Play the file audiocapture.wav and check if you hear the audio that was playing on the PC. 8. If you don't hear anything - change the input or recording levels in the windows audio control panel and try steps 3-7 again. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35718 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

What is the CMD window because I think it is the same as Command Prompt window. It should be a command line window usually with a C:\ prompt. If so then Step 3 is a command to change directory to where wavin2cmd.exe is saved. On a Slimserver 6.5 default this would be cd \Program Files\SlimServer\server\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread The correct command to use is wavin2cmd.exe -w -o wavin:0 audiocapture.wav It is possible you may have more than one possible input device so try the following command to list possible devices to record. wavin2cmd.exe -l After recording the audiocapture.wav file, it can be played using Windows Media Player. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35718 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

If you search these forums, I believe someone built an AC relay that is controlled by infrared. Combine that with good IR blaster transceiver placement (and/or a multi-head IR blaster transceiver?) and you could just use the IRBlaster plugin to do what you want. Or you could use BottleRocket with X10 hardware, or BottleRocket beta with a Windows system (not necessarily the SlimServer/SqueezeServer host) and Insteon gear for capabilities like those provided by Amp Switch/Power Switch. -Peter -- peterw http://www.tux.org/~peterw/ free plugins: http://www.tux.org/~peterw/#slim AllQuiet BlankSaver BottleRocket FuzzyTime SaverSwitcher SleepFade StatusFirst VolumeLock peterw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40363 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Wave Input plugin v1.00
The CMD Window is STARTRUNCMD When I get the command window open I type in: wavin2cmd.exe -w -o wavin:0 I get the same thing as the last time. I have also tried: wavin2cmd.exe -l and I get the same thing. Yes, my default wavin2cmd.exe location is: C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread Where would audiocapture.wav file be located assuming I am doing the CMD correctly? -- AlabamaWeather AlabamaWeather's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14030 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35718 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
