[SlimDevices: Plugins] After slim server upgrade and re-install of plugins, lazysearch doesn't work..
Hi all, I upgraded my slimserver to version 6.5.4, got the newest version of lazy search and installed it. It appears in the plug-ins and it's activated. When I'm on my squeezebox and/or softsqueeze and hit the search button, lazy search comes up and the screen says Music Library Scan in Progress. This never goes away and it never finds anything. I've done everything including re-scanning music library, uninstalling and re-installing plugin and uninstalling and re-installing slimserver. Any ideas?? Tom. Felix, changing the volume on Jive causes IRBlaster to only send 'volume +' commands, and never 'volume -'! It looks like the command callbacks from Jive have a new format? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Can Alien BBC use a different helper?
Problem solved! Commenting out the relevant part of Alien/RTSP.pm makes it work just as expected. Hope this helps anyone else with the same problem. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Vista Gadget request
Hi, i have a few suggestions for some extra vista functionality 1. A gadget version of softsqueeze (if it is a java program, is the a wrapper for gadets?) 2. A slimserver gadget with now playing, artwork etc. on your squeezeboxes and the ability to change the tracks (a lot like squeezefox works) Think it would be cool to have it all there when you log in and not even have to open the browser Phill -- SoftPhill SoftPhill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13979 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40532 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Vista Gadget request
I've been trying my hand at writing one of these...mostly by looking at and modifying Gadget webcam examples, but I haven't gotten very far. I've yet to be able to come up with code that consistently displays the correct artwork. Getting gadgets to ignore image caching seems to be acknowledged, amongst the folks who write these things, as being problematic. Since I scraped vista off my laptop and went back to XP, I'm down to having only a single vista install, and I seem to boot into that only every three weeks or so. I'm guessing that someone else is going to beat me to the punch and get one of these things working. -- gharris999 gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40532 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugins for latest SC7.0 and Mac OS X 10.5.1
I too have the same problem and have started a couple threads talking about the issue, but still have duplicate folders and don't know which of the two plugin folders I should use. In addition to the plugins not working for you, Super Date and Time is another plugin not working for me. I hope someone will chime in and offer some assistance. Pretty please? [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC: machine too old, now too new
When last we visited our poor hero, he was trying to add AlienBBC to his Mac. That was until he learned it wouldn't run on a G3 machine. So he set aside his dreams of Radio 4 and Radio 5... until he finally upgraded and then went back to get mPlayer, to find out it won't run on an Intel Mac. Come someone please tell me: --What narrow Mac road I need to travel down to use AlienBBC? --Will there be a point when I can run the plug-in on my new iMac? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC: machine too old, now too new
This notice: These binaries are built on Mac OS X for the PPC platform. They will not work on Intel-based Macs. These binaries are also built for use WITHOUT a graphical user interface mainly for the use of the AlienBBC plugin for SlimServer. (Thanks to Dave Mason for these builds.) Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC: machine too old, now too new
mplayer works fine on Intel Mac - you do have to make sure you extract from the DMG the command line executable and not the GUI one. Where did you get the current mplayer you are using ? -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40537 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC: machine too old, now too new
I don't have a Mac so all I can give is general direction. The AlienBBC sites has mplayer for older Mac because there was no up to date executable available from mplayerhq at the time. You should get your copy of an mplayer dmg for OSX from mplayerhq here http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html The following are the instructions posted by a Mac user on how to extract the right mplayer for AlienBBC. As I remarked earlier, the actual mplayer file is deeply hidden inside MPlayer OSX. Control-click to Show Package Contents. Go to Contents Resources External_Binaries, and you will see an item called mplayer. This still isn't what we want. Control-click again and once more Show Package Contents. Contents contains a folder called MacOS, which in turn contains two Unix files, mplayer and mplayer_noaltivec. You will want the mplayer which is a universal binary. mplayer_noaltivec is for PPC G3 I think. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40537 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC: machine too old, now too new
I installed in /usr/local/bin However, the notes from a Mac user you posted don't map to what I'm seeing on the screen. I made a best guess and copied in the file MPlayer OSX (Universal).sizes. I know you're not a Mac user. I'm hoping one will see this and tell me if I've done the right thing. So far, no BBC audio. -- rzahradnik rzahradnik's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9347 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40537 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
