Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Plugins for rating and "smart" playlists using SQL

2008-02-08 Thread c0utta

Hi Erland,

You're exactly right - I have been replacing my 160kbps CBR MP3 CD rips
with FLAC rips. I would have a large number of MP3 orphans now.

Can I run through track_statistics and delete the orphans via SQL? I'm
only using Custom Scan for ratings so am not concerned about losing
statistics.

Thanks,

c0utta

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver

2008-02-08 Thread jallison

I just replaced my old router with a new Linksys WRT54GL running the
DD-WRT firmware. Everything's working fine...except for SuperDateTime,
which is no longer updating. I realize that this is almost certainly a
network problem rather than a plugin problem, but I'm just curious if
anyone has any ideas on why the plugin would suddenly have trouble
getting updates. I haven't changed any of the filtering settings in the
router firmware, so I suppose it's possible that the default
configuration is blocking this, but that seems odd. Anyone else running
this combination?

Thanks.

- Jeff

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New WeatherTime Screensaver adds graphical forecasts

2008-02-08 Thread Kardtoon

So some reason I couldn't download the SC7 version in the googlecode
page.

If I use a download accelerator, it'll have a HTTP - Forbidden message.
If I use a regular download, all I get is 4.00kb of file, the the
download completes.

I'm obviously doing something wrong and I have no idea what it is. Can
anyone offer some advice?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Always on clock screensaver?

2008-02-08 Thread radish

The answer is that, as far as I can tell, writing a plugin to
automatically switch to SN when the server goes to sleep would be
possible now. Not easy, but possible, and possible by an outsider (non
logi) developer. Note that this would work for "server goes to sleep"
and "server shuts down gracefully" but not for "server crashes" or
"someone pulls out power lead".

The sticky part is the reverse, switching back to SC when it's back
online. I can't see any way of doing that without a firmware change,
and that requires logitech to do it.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Move track in playlist using SB remote

Does anyone know if there is a plugin that enables the move of a track

One can Add and remove but not re-order which is a lack in

Hi,

I've noticed that the previous version had an issue where the alarm
icon and the rightmost date (the day for me) garbled up each other
(well - they were printed in the same space making the date illegible)

I love this plugin - it's great to come into the kitchen and have a
look at what to expect when going outdoors!

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Moose leaves silhouette on desktop

2008-02-08 Thread SuffolkPunch

Now this is wierd!

Moose 0.64d has twice left behind it on the desktop two black lines,
describing the right and bottom edges of its window (see attached
image), when I collapse it to the system tray. The rectangle persists
even after exiting Moose and refreshing the desktop. The silhouette
also appears in all 4 VirtuaWin destops that I have running.

This phenomenon only seems to occur after Moose has been up and running
for an hour or two. Logging-out and back in dispels it.

I'm running:
Windows XP pro SP2
SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0 - 17150 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252
Perl Version: 5.8.8 MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
MySQL Version: 5.0.22-community-nt

This sounds possible. On the SqueezeNetwork webpage, there is a
disconnect button. Once disconnected, the SB should switch back to
SqueezeCenter automatically.

I think all you'd need is for SqueezeNetwork to support the "player
connect" CLI command, which I just suggested to Andy in
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?p=267123

If he doesn't reply there (hey, the Logitech folks *are* working their
butts off finishing SC7), I'd suggest you interested parties file an SN

hasn't already.

Thanks for the quick reply. Somehow this has cured itself. I set up a
few static DHCP leases, rebooted the router, and boom, updates were
happening. I don't know why, but it's working. Further analysis to

Go through and double check all security and firewall settings. When I
installed DDWRT on my 54G, it stopped allowing VPN passthrough over
wireless until i found the correct setting. Sorry not more detail to
offer, but definitely sounds tied to a setting in the router/AP

Not sure what it is. This isn't likely a plugin problem, as the
playback is not handled by the plugin, only when it starts.
Use player.source logging, set to DEBUG and see what shows in the log.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Moose leaves silhouette on desktop

2008-02-08 Thread SuffolkPunch

Update: having just logged-out and in, and fired-up moose, I find that
it leaves behind the right and bottom edge silhouette immediately I
collapse moose to the system tray (which I did right after starting
moose). Restoring moose and moving its window and then collapsing
again, left behind a fresh silhouette in a new position - so now there
were two!

Other than this quirk, moose seems to be compos mentis.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Extended Alarm Plugin

2008-02-08 Thread Heimiko

@kdf:

Hi, I like your plugin, however, it has some weirdness:
When the alarm goes off, rthe first few seconds of a song is played,
then it skips to the next song, of this song, a few seconds is played,
then again, it skips. then, finally, the third song is playing as
normally. I'm using a SC7 nightly from a few days ago.

Is this a known bug, or is it something new?

There is a button called "Delete unused statistic" in Server
Settings/Plugins/TrackStat that can be used to remove all orphans.

Is there any way to change the time format on the screensaver...I prefer
a 24h clock rather than the am/pm way?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Moose leaves silhouette on desktop

2008-02-08 Thread SuffolkPunch

>Have any other apps you've run ever done it ?
No.

>Is it only system-traying which does it?
Maybe. Just moving the moose window around the screen is fine.

>If you right-click the system tray button, does it do it then ?
No.

>What graphics hardware are you using ?
ATI Radeon X1600 with 512MB memory.

>Any virtual desktop helpers or things like that running?
Yes. As I said: VirtuaWin V3.2 (multiple virtual desktops) and Cool
Desktop switcher V1.3.1 (sys tray utility to switch between them).

Strange, I am scrobbling fine and have been all week. Maybe it's an

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New WeatherTime Screensaver adds graphical forecasts

2008-02-08 Thread kyleki

Hi Martin,

I personally prefer the following date format when viewing dates:

q(%a %-m/%d) => q{WWW M/DD}

Any chance of this being added as a permanent option? I currently
have to put it in after every upgrade. :(

I have an open bug with slim ('Bug 6884'
(http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=6884)) to add the same
thing in the standard DateTime.pm but I thought I may have better luck
with your plugin. ;-)

Correct, I'm using Slimcenter 7.0 and IR Blaster 5.2.

I'll try going back to the original single head cable and see if I get
