Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeScrobbler 1.0 for SqueezeCenter 7.0
This new version fixes all of the various settings bugs that I'm aware of, and adds on-screen notifications and love/ban commands to the new Controller. I can't comment on the new Controller, but the on-screen notifications aren't working for normal squeezeboxes. Love or Ban do seem to throw a message onto the display, but only for a few miliseconds. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeScrobbler 1.0 forSqueezeCenter 7.0
Well, you could ask the author of the Biography plugin to make a change to accommodate the format used for LastFM - track by artist from album is not that unusual is it? In the meantime, .par files are actually just zip files containing the plugin files in a special structure. You should be able to unzip the .par file, modify the contents and zip it back up again. Artwork is only added if it's 'iTunes Album Artwork' downloaded from the iTunes store. OK, I just posted a new version (7a8) that should be better: - the Heyu app no longer insists on using directories outside the SqueezeCenter cache dir - if you specify your own Heyu app, PowerCenter will not specify a Heyu config file. The idea here is that, especially since Heyu tends to have a long-running heyu_runner process, lock files, state files, etc., PowerCenter shouldn't try to override your settings and leave you with two heyu_runner processes, conflicting lock state files, etc. - the Heyu app on Windows should work, although I don't have a Windows machine with a serial port to be sure I'd *love* to hear from Windows-using CM11A owners, as I'd like to contribute my Heyu changes upstream but don't want to bother the maintainer until I'm sure that my changes result in a working app. -Peter -- peterw http://www.tux.org/~peterw/ free plugins: http://www.tux.org/~peterw/#slim AllQuiet BlankSaver FuzzyTime PowerCenter/BottleRocket SaverSwitcher SleepFade StatusFirst SyncOptions VolumeLock peterw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43781 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] FreeNAS + SqueezeCenter 7.0
whatwho, I should explain further about my FreeNAS setup. When I first installed FreeNAS (2006?) I created a single group called users. I assign all users to this group - my FreeNAS is only used by 3 people, including myself (c0utta). I did notice on the latest FreeNAS release that there are many other groups now (including wheel) but I'm ignoring those at the moment. I logon as c0utta (not as admin) to administer FreeNAS. I created the slimnas folder using a Windows XP PC, which created the slimnas folder with me (c0utta) as the owner and wheel as the group. There were then many efforts to get SC7 running but to no avail. Then I changed the group to users, followed Michael's instructions and SC7 was up and running within a minute. This could be coincidental, but maybe there's something happening because c0utta administers FreeNAS, is a member of group users and the slimnas folder (through XP) has group wheel.
