Ben Find your plugin directory and locate the install.xml, check the value of 'maxVersion' and make sure it is set to '*'. If this is set to 7.0 it might cause your issue. Your original problem was still mplayer installation - very few people noticed the channel problem as mplayer and AlienBBC still plays OK just sort of mono not stereo. The mplayer on mplayerhq has been rebuilt since original problem so problem may be gone. I think I know what was the problem. I followed this advise: The MPlayer 1.0rc2 for OSX from the mplayerhq site seems to have a problem with RealAudio decoding and it loses one channel. If you have a Intel OSX 10.5 (maybe 10.4) systems then you could download, unzip and install mplayer from here [Triode's Mplayer for OSX] into /usr/local/bin. Would it be possible to add an option to have the album displayed like this latest version or as previous versions where it filled the top left box completely? Personally, I'd prefer to the image as big as possible and not have the space or reflection around it. Secondly, I don't know if this is a bug or intended behaviour. When I'm using the cover chooser and mouse over the artwork, the artist and album name pop up. As I increase the size of the artwork, using the slider in the top right, this stops working when I reach a certain size. If I reduce the size it starts working again. I am a new owner of the duet, and I have the XM plugin installed and working through squeezecenter. In squeezcenter I can select the XM station I want and it will start playing through the squeezebox. I see reference in several places of being able to add XM stations to favorites so that you can access them through the controller favorites menu, but I can't seem to figure out how to do so. I assume that somewhere in squeezecenter I should be able to add the XM station to favorites? Or is it through the controller that I add to favorites? If someone could give detailed directions on how to add a station to favorites, I'd be most appreciative. I'm running squeezecenter 7.0.0_3. Stop making changes which are out of date ($FILE$ to $URL$ was only needed for a few rev of 7.0.1 beta) and unnecessary. The key to debugging problems is to only make one change at a time and only make changes with good reason. The "-really-quiet" change is only needed when doing a log - since you didn't do a log it was pointless. At this stage I cannot trust your AlienBBC installation. I'd advise clearing the Plugins/Alien directory. Also delete plugin-data.yaml from the cache. Restart SC and make no AlienBBC is installed. I don't have a Mac so I hope a Mac owner would correct any advice I may give. The method you describe sounds like it is close to what was needed for AlienBBC 1.06 - but is not correct. For AlienBBC 2.0 - mplayer installation is simpler. 1. Down the dmg file from mplayer hq (e.g. http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/MPlayerOSX_1.0rc2.dmg ) 2. Install the dmg as per normal OSX install procedures. 3. Finished. I don't know is OSX needs a reboot or such like. If a standard MPlayer installation works, then AlienBBC will pick up the correct "mplayer" from the appropriate subdirectory - there is no longer any need for extra user dragging of files to /usr/local/bin. I downloaded MPlayer (1.0 rc2) at the following URL: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html I dragged the MPlayer.app on my desktop. I deleted .app. A file appeared. Inside this file called MPlayer OSX I found another file named Contents. Inside this file I choose MacOS. Inside MacOS I found MPlayer OSX. I dragged this file in /usr/local/bin. MPlayer is not mplayer - case matters and the solution depends on determined what was installed and its proper name ! If you get menus and no sounds then you need a complete log of what is happening with mplayer and mplayer.sh. Couple of questions Is it possible to change the 3rd info line to be sunrise/sunset? Also, is it posible to disable the left/right arrows? Entering "walrus" alone narrows down the search to songs containing that word, but obviously most songs don't have such unique words to search on! Yes, I use the "Mmixed Tag" menu type. I append my corresponding configuration file. Adding TRACKNUM to the Custom Tag scanning module did the trick! Thanks a lot for pointig that out (I was not aware that not all standard tags are automtically scanned). Now the sorting is as I need it. I was really talking about the sort order of the GROUPING level since I want the classical pieces (which are represented by the GROUPING tag) not sorted alphabetically but in their original order (as they are on the physical CD) when browsing by album. When I hit play ON an item on the grouping level the order was already by tracknum, but when I hit play one level above, that means on an album, then the sort order was not "album,disc,tracknum" but "grouping, tracknum" (I don't know if disc was used since in my test disc was not set). Album did not matter since all titles belonged of course to the same album when I press play on an album. Wasn't that expected by you? Although it might sound strange to sort the GROUPING level by tracknum this is how it should be. Of course, ALL tracks under the grouping item have different track numbers since they represent the different movements of the work, but since all titles of the same grouping are grouped together the overall sorting order of the album is then correct. Let's say you have an album with the following tracks: 1. Toccata in a minor 2. Sonata in C major: 1. Allegro 3. Sonata in C major: 2. Andante 4. Sonata in C major: 3. Presto 5. Bolero I set the GROUPING tag to "Toccata in a minor" for the first track, to "Sonata in C major" for the 2.-4. track and to "Bolero" for the 5. track. When I then browse by album-grouping, without defining TRACKNUM as sorting tag for the second level the order within the second level is: Bolero sonata in C major Toccata in a minor And when I press play on the album name one level above they are played in this order: 1. Bolero 2. Sonata in C major: 1. Allegro 3. Sonata in C major: 2. Andante 4. Sonata in C major: 3. Presto 5. Toccata in a minor When I now set the sort order to tracknum the order within the second level is Toccata in a minor Sonata in C major Bolero and when I press play on the album name the original sort order as on the physical album is used. The only remaining question is now if sorting can be done by disc-tracknum instead only by tracknum using the mixed tag menu defined in the enclosed configuration file. Is that possible? Regarding the missing "(Disc 1)" label this happens also in the menu when browsing album-grouping which is defined in the enclosed configuration file. If sorting by disc-tracknum is not possible than I would swich back to show multi disc albums as separate albums, but in this case the missing label "(Disc 1)" should be added to distinguish between the different discs. Finally, do you already know when you will release a version of CustomBrowse in which the "German umlaut" problem which still exists on the squeezebox will be fixed. I saw that not only German umlauts are affected but also e.g. French accents so many of my classical tracks cannot be played until this is fixed.
