[SlimDevices: Plugins] Dynamic Playlist problem

2008-05-25 Thread pcdiks

Hi

I'm running squeezecenter 7.0.1 on Ubuntu. Works great. After that I
installed the dynamic playlist, sql playlist and trackstat plugins.
They all seem to work except for the dynamic playlist plugin.

After I create a sql playlist it appears in the dynamic playlist menu.
If I then start the playlist it shows no items. When I check the log I
see this line:
[08-05-25 11:40:37.5074] Slim::Utils::Misc::msg (1329) Warning:
[11:40:37.5068] Database error: Table
'slimserver.dynamicplaylist_history' doesn't exist

Is it possible to create this table by hand? Or should I do something
else?

Thanx!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver

2008-05-25 Thread smarco

I happened to change the default format, then couldn't put it back.

I removed the plugin and cache in SC7, and copied a new one again. But
the setup I'd changed didn't return to the default. What else do I need
to clean up to refresh the plugin?

One additional question; %z or %Z displays only the high temperature.
How can I get low, high or both?

Thanks in advance.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] CustomBrowse, adding standard SC menus?

2008-05-25 Thread RonHatl

Thanks, Erland.

I totally agree with you that it's strange to put e.g. Settings inside
CustomBrowse. The shameful truth is that I am actually trying to use
CustomBrowse for something that it was not intended for; a general tool
for reorganizing the standard menu items. So what I'm really looking for
is sort of a CustomMenus plugin (but as far as I know no such exists).
The reason for this wish is:
a) Having many menu items on the top level is messy in my opinion.
b) Some of the standard menus include menu items that I never use, for
instance Alarm and Volume under Settings.

If we combine a and b, I'm really asking Santa for a menu editor in
which it is possible to 1)create your own menus and submenus (tree),
2)either pick single standard menu items (e.g. Synchronizing) to put
inside your own menus, or pick complete standard menus (e.g. Settings)
and disable desired submenu items inside those (e.g. Volume).

PS. Please be assured that I really love CustomBrowse as it is, and I
have for instance made my own menu item for browsing audio book Authors
:-) So I absolutely don't expect you or CustomBrowse to cover my strange
wish above!

Ronny

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Album Catalog Creator 1.0

2008-05-25 Thread SilverRS8

I've just posted the 1.0 release of Album Catalog Creator (ACC). I own
great thanks to the many users who helped testing while in beta phase
which resulted a large forum thread (general section).

What is ACC? Basically its not a plugin. It is an application which
allows you to create a .HTML based catalog of your music collection for
print purposes.
ACC accesses the SqueezeCenter database and generates a nice formatted
html catalog of the data.

There are quiet a few options and filters for personal preferences.

ACC is a .hta application written in VBScript. This requires Windows to
execute ACC. ACC can however access a remote Windows or Linux server
running SqueezeCenter.

For more information see http://www.vanholt.nl/acc/acc.htm and
especially the HELP included in ACC as it addresses most common
questions and issues.

An installed version of IE is required to run ACC but this is default
on any windows machine. The generated catalog can either be opened in
Firefox or IE (which ever is default).

You should start ACC by doubleclicking the .hta file.

It also takes effect immediately on track boundaries. To interactively

I agree the 20s wait is too long to be useful. It would be better IMO

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: The Synchronizer v0.1

2008-05-25 Thread pippin

Eric,

Cool plugin.

How can one access your plugin's functionality? Do you have a CLI
command?
Any documentation?

Do you know iPeng? It's a plugin to use SC with iPhone/iPod touch.
I recently added a cool MultiPlayer feature that allows you to access
all players in one place and synchronize them. Support for your plugin
would fit in here quite handy ;-)

Some impression on how it looks now (without your plugin):

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Alien BBC not working with SC7 upgrade ?

2008-05-25 Thread malaugh

Just wanted to give a big thank you to the developers of this great
plug-in. I just bought a Squeezebox Duo, and installed the lastest
Squeezecenter. After installing the plug-in package for Windows I was
able to listen to Radio 4. I am an ex-brit, and Radio 4 was my
favorite rdaio station when I lived there. I now live in the US and
have not heard radio 4 for the past 20 years. Its really great to here
it agian.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] XM Plug In Download Incomplete

2008-05-25 Thread sgunn

About a week ago, I like you was a new duet user and also at first
couldn't figure it out.

In the lower right of squeezecenter, go to settings. It will pop up a
new window. Click on plugins, and there will be a listing for XM.
Under that listing you can select settings to set your username and
password.

Here's the other thing I eventually figured out since I never got a
reply to my question. The only way you will be able to select XM
stations from the controller is to first add them to favorites. That
fact I was able to get from the forums. How to add to favorites was
the trick. To create a favorite for XM, the format is xmradio://54
(for Lucy). You will need to create a favorite for every channel you
want to be able to select from the controller.

Hope that helps.

Stephen

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce]: iPeng 0.4 iPhone / iTouch plugin

OK, firewall (settings-security) has to be set to allow all incoming

Well, I made a dumb mistake...

The iphone was picking up my neighbor's wireless network which it
usually doesnt do.

That solved the problem. Thanks for the input though!

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Playlist Butler

2008-05-25 Thread JHC

While I haven't been in the SqueezeCenter world very long, I have been
doing my best to catch up. After having a great experience with my
first Duet purchase, I've since gone on to buy three more receivers and
another controller.

After getting so much great advice and help on these forums, I thought
I'd say 'thanks' by giving back something.

Playlist Butler is a Windows app that you run on your SqueezeCenter
machine and once setup correctly, it will monitor your playlists
directory for new or modified playlists -- playlists you've presumably
saved or exported from your favorite desktop music player/manager. (In
my case, this is J River Media Center)

When it finds a new or changed playlist, Playlist Butler will open the
playlist and perform any path substitution you specify and update the
playlist file. (In my case, this transforms paths from ones that the
desktop machine understands, to paths that SqueezeCenter understands)

And finally, you can set up a 'dummy' playlist name that when saved to
the playlist directory, will cause Playlist Butler to trigger a
SqueezeCenter new Music Scan.

This way, I can save a bunch of playlists from my desktop and trigger a
SqueezeCenter rescan... all from within Media Center (or whatever
favorite app you have).

More information and link to download:

http://ripbar.com/PlaylistButler

Should you decide to try it out, please let me know what you think. all
suggestions for improvement are welcome too.

Thanks,

Jonathan

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] How to search for songs using Slimremote?

2008-05-25 Thread Michael Herger
Thanks - so is the search behaviour that I'm seeing a limitation of the
CLI interface? (i.e. the inability to use search from the beginning
 logic)?

I'd have to take a look at the code to be sure. But imho this should work as
described with that setting. As the Controller is using the same interface, I'd
expect it to be ok, or we would see many more complaints
