Thanks for the reply. I must be dense. I downloaded the files and neither file had any reference to any jive applet extensions (*.lua) or string.txt. I tried to install them anyway. Having problems I then did a factory reset and installed all the other applets without any problems. I then tried to create it's own plugin directory ( AlbumeReviewPlugin and BiographyPlugin ) similar to the other working applets sub folder structure and that didn't work as well. I then removed the non-applet albumreview and biography directories and re-tried everything from above, still no joy. I must be doing something wrong and any advice will be appreciated. [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC - WMA Stream problem
I recently upgraded my Ubuntu box to Hardy Heron 8.04 and my slimserver version to the version of Squeezecenter (Version: 7.0.1) available via the repository. I then successfully installed the newest version of AlienBBC and confirmed that I can play the standard stations available under the Internet Radio --> AlienBBC option via Softsqueeze. However, I am unable to get this WMA radio station (http://audio.wbaa.purdue.edu/asxgen/wmbroadcast/wbaa-am-hi.asx in particular) to work via Softsqueeze with the new AlienBBC. This used to work before the Ubuntu, Slimserver, AlienBBC version upgrades. Some limited investigative work has revealed the following: The server.log file shows these entries like this when I try to play the station. Good questions both. I cannot remember if I have ever searched for a Radio 4 program in Listen Again (by either route described in my original posting above). It's usually Radio 3 or BBC 7 that I am looking to listen to via Listen Again. As it happens, the program I was looking for (Radio 4's "Early Music" programme, broadcast on Fridays at 20:00 these past two weeks and for the next two weeks, as distinct from "The Early Music Show" on Radio 3) appears not to be available through Listen Again. As for a new install, no, this installation of SSODS and AlienBBC has been essentially unchanged for at least a couple of months, and probably since late last summer. I have run into a problem with AlienBBC, and I would like to know if it is my installation, or a genuine bug (perhaps caused by a change on the BBC web pages) If I go to "AlienBBC / Radio 4 Listen Again" I get an empty list. If I go to "AlienBBC / BBC Listen Again / Radio 4" I get a populated list. Do others see this? I am using SSODS v2.19 with AlienBBC v1.06_6.5 on a Synology DS-207 NAS server. The patches in the post were for an mploayer build around March 2007. This is after pre8 and RC1 and before RC2. So I believe none of those builds will work with the patches unmodified. Either you checkout a build of mplayer around Mar-May 2007 or you find out what has changed in mplayer between rc1 and rc2 and modify the patches accordingly. I have looked extensively in the forums with advanced searches etc and can only get access to the Michael Herger's lastest files (AlbumReview2.4.99 and Biography-2.4.99.zip.beta), which do not have jive code for the Duet's controller. I'm looking for what I'm guessing are "old" plugins for the Album Review and Biography plugins that have jive scripts for my Duet. If anyone that has working copies that would be so kind to e-mail them my way I would appreciate it. I'm using SqueezeCenter V7.0 on Windows and would like to be able to use my Duet to it's fullest potential.
