A user who knows better than the plugin author can still edit the install.xml file. The whole idea of this check is to reduce calls of users who have their SC crash because they're running incompatible plugins. People should know what they're doing. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeScrobbler 1.0 for SqueezeCenter 7.0
gwnzen, I have no idea what's wrong there. Best thing is to check the server log to see if the plugins are even mentioned. You might want to start a new thread making it clear that no plugins are working for you, as more people will look at that. jjsqueeze, I did a test last night and changing stations works fine on my Controller and SqueezeCentre 7.0.2. When I press play on the new station, playback stops immediately and the new station starts a moment later. Again, I think I'd need to see the whole log to work out what's wrong. Could you attach it in a zip file? thanks James -- James James's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=189 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=38845 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

adamslim;311199 Wrote: > How about putting a little test so that if a beta version of SC is > running, the maxversion is ignored (or a switch is enabled in the > webUI), while the maxversion is active for release versions? A switch in the settings pages to ignore maxVersion would be great. In this case each plugin developer can decide what to support but still let the user take the chance and ignore it and run it anyway. I've but 7+ in maxVersion in all my plugins, because I'm pretty sure none of them will work in 8.0 without modification. I'm a bit worried that they won't even work in 7.3 due to the recent database schema discussions in the developers forums, but I'm pretty sure the schema changes will end up in 8.0 and not 7.3. It would be even better if the max/min versions was checked against a plugin API version and not against SqueezeCenter version, but this isn't possible at the moment since we don't have a clear definition which parts of SqueezeCenter that defines the "Plugin API". -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.homeip.net) 'My download page' (http://erland.homeip.net/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.homeip.net/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48660 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Multi Library and MusicIP Filter question
I have the latest MultiLibrary plugin(2.0.beta04), MusicIP and SC 7.0.2 installed on Windows XP. Setup is working fine with 4 sub libraries. I noticed, however, that when browsing within a sub-library and you choose to create a MusicIP mix, the generated playlist pulls tracks from all the sub libraries. I thought about configuring MusicIP to use a filter to restrict the scope of mixing for a sub-library. On the SC side, I'm curious if there's a way to specify a different MusicIP filter for each sub-library from within SC/MultiLibrary? The desired behavior is for SC to dynamically switch to a different MusicIP Filter when browsing within a sub-library. The API does support specifying a Filter when requesting a mix (see http://www.musicip.com/mixer/httpprotocol.jsp). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce]: iPeng 0.4 iPhone / iTouch plugin
Thanks for the cool comments. Now here's the short roadmap: 1. adapt to the new features iPhone 2.0 will deliver 2. native app. Why this way around? Quite frankly: Apple will improve a LOT on the next generation of iPhone (that is: software generation, so this will be available to "old" iPhones and iPods as an update) so most of the responsiveness issues can be solved using this. Since I feel a webapp is still more flexible and extensible than a native app (compare the number of plugins available to, say, the SBC) I think that path is important The native app will still come, but it will probably look a bit different from the skin and offer some integration with other stuff. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce]: iPeng 0.4 iPhone / iTouch plugin
I've been looking for a remote control solution for over 2 years, for my growing SqueezeBox network. I've gone through options trying a RF remote, Windows mobile devices, and both web and native apps on a couple different Windows tablet PCs. But I have never found the right combination of features and hardware form factor. I bought a SB Controller as soon as it became available separately last month. I thought I finally found the answer, as the Controller is a very nice device, and works quite well. But unfortunately one of the primary requirements for my solution is the ability to control the SB network from outside on my patio, and the Controller's screen just doesn't cut it outside. I now think the solution has arrived. I read about iPeng here, and decided to pick up an iPod Touch yesterday. It was so simple to get iPeng running, and it works very well. It's a little slow, and seems to lose it's mind every once in awhile, but what a great job you have done. Thank you very much Pippen. I'm now heading over to donate on your web site, and look forward to where you are taking your pet penguin project. -- PRGeno PRGeno's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=718 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46294 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

OK, that looks like it actually does that. I thought they always do 100x100 for Jive. Problem is: I will need 100x100f for the 2.0 version. Depends. Your serer will have to resize/resample so if your server is slow this can take a bit, but that's probably not an issue with only one pic. Second thing is: Depends on your artwork. If that's got lower resolution it may actually take more time. But you are right in that this is probably less of an issue than the other way round since large images will take up much more time.
