I started having this problem yesterday. My Sirius plugin just stays at "Retrieving Channel Data". I was running an older version of Slimserver. I updated to SqueezeCenter and downloaded Greg's most recent plugin. I am still experiencing the same problem. When I try to run the -d_plugin option with squeezecenter, it doesn't seem to work, so I cannot gather any debugging info. I would appreciate any help anyone can provide either with this problem or with figuring out how to get a debug. [SlimDevices: Plugins] SoftSqueeze skips to next songs
I have SoftSqueeze running over an SSH connection, using the internal SSH support inside SS. I have SC converting my FLAC files to mp3 streams as it plays them back, with a bit rate of 128kpbs. The connection at both ends of the SSH tunnel is cable model broadband (2-3 MBps down, 500 kbps up). Everything works perfectly, playback is good, except that every 30-50 seconds, the player skips to the next song in the playlist (I guess 'jumping' songs is a better description - it's not like traditional 'skipping' where the audio stream is effected by jitter). This only happens on SS when running over the SSH connection. When I test SS on the LAN that the SC is located on, it doesn't jump songs. Does anyone have any ideas of what could cause a skip like that, or what type of debugging approach would be appropriate to try to get to the bottom of it? I already had the regular Lyrics plugin installed which puts Lyrics under the Extras menu for any Squeezebox. But now I have the Duet and I want to get the Lyrics applet for that working. Wow! If Squeeze Box could do this! I would be the happiest camper. Add a REAL MIX feature where you could even mix at different points in the song. In other words, you dont have to listen to the whole song and perhaps it only plays 3 mins of the song. That got my vote! I know. Probably wont happen. I feel dumb. I had put the plugin into the old slimserver directory. It wassn't until i uninstalled and reinstalled SC that i noticed the directory name had changed. There is a version of AlienBBC for 7.3 but there was a problem in SC 7.3 which manifested as a system lockup when playing transcoding streams and so the AlienBBC for 7.3 was withdrawn until the source of the problem could be determined and fixed. Some of the SC7.3 problem has been fixed but there were still problem with AlienBBC last time I tested. Hello, I'm using SC7 and have an SB2 and SB3 and I can't get VolumeLock to work on either one. I can see VolumeLock in the list of plugins in SC7 and it activated (checked). I have restarted SC7 completely several times and it makes no difference. When I go into the plugins menu on the Squeezeboxes (I'm not at home right now and can't remember where this menu is located, I think Settings, Info and Plugins) I can see VolumeLock V0.2 in the list of plugins but it doesn't appear under the Extras menu in the SB3 or SB2 and there is no way to activate it. Other plugins I've installed (like LazySearch) are working properly and appear under the Extras menu on the SB3 & SB2. Can anyone help as VolumeLock was working well under SS V6.x but now I don't see how to get it working under SC7 at all???
