Thanks BPA I think I have solved the problem. I installed LAME in server-bin-MS32-x86-multi-thread instead of directly into server-bin Then I changed the RTSP files to MP3 disabled and enabled lame/flac. Now the Alienbbc audio works fine, and I still have LAME at 320. -- boxerking boxerking's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19174 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=58958 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Many thanks to Max for writing it. But I have one minor issue. Here's the scenario: transfer the playlist to a player which has a Squeezebox Controller connected to it. Now on the Controller, go to the Now Playing screen - all is well, the correct item is shown. But now hit the center button to view the entire playlist - what I see, rather than the playlist, is a set of spinning wait icons. Is this a known issue, or have I done something wrong? I have installed Kids Play and I'm using it to switch my Boom's Line-Out between 'always off' and 'headphones'. I have defined this for button 6. It's not coded to allow redefining buttons on a regular Squuezebox remote -- I didn't anticipate any demand for that. If it did allow redefining the remote key, you wouldn't be able to use the SB3 6 button for anything else on the Boom (but you could also choose to sacrifice/redefine a different SB3 button). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Other Players plugin question
I#8217;d think its probably some CLI timeout issue, I#8217;ve seen that (spinning wait icons instead of playlist) quite often here #8211; with an unmodified SC7.3 and SC7.4 (Windows), both on SqueezePlay and a real SBC. My feeling is that it -might- have to do with having to recreate the small album images and somehow timing out while it#8217;s still processing. In the Web UI (default skin) SC7.4, it doesn't always show the now playing playlist, so I can't rate songs. Could be a fault when a player is synced? 1. I played an album on player A. 2. In the Web UI Now Playing playlist for Player A, I clicked on the TS icon for the now playing song. 5. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Beta version of SvrPowerControl
I have decided to dust off my XSL and see if I could transform a phpsysinfo XML file into an OPML file. I came up with the attached stylesheet; I tried it on a single linux machine, I have no idea how the stylesheet behaves on other architectures. The output looks ok on an SB3 or an SBC. Localization should be possible; I use a lookup table in the stylesheet, but it's a bit shoddy since this is a flat table (meaning I didn't care to differentiate RAMFreex %/Free/RAM from PartitionFreex %/Free/Partition, and it shows a bit.) I tried to plug this into the InfoBrowserAddons API. Call me stuffy, but I don't understand how to send back an opml file and not some indescript array structure. Feel free to integrate if you can. For now you can run something like xsltproc -o phpsysinfo.opml stylesheet.xsl my_phpsysinfo_xml_php.xml and get the opml file relevant (?) to your machine. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Denon AVP Control Plugin
This Squeezebox plugin will turn on and off a Denon amplifier/receiver when the Squeezebox is turned on/off or a song is played. The plugin will optionally set one of the QuickSelect modes, and set the volume of the Squeezebox to match the amplifier volume. The user can also set a optional on or off delay timer and set the maximum volume level they wish the amplifier to be set to when controlling the Squeezebox. The plugin uses the Denon serial protocol over a wireless or wired network and therefore a network connect between the SqueezeCenter server and the Denon amplifier must be available. The plugin has only been tested with the Denon AVP-A1HD and the Squeezebox Receiver but it should work with any Denon receiver that supports the serial protocol over a network and the Squeezebox Classic as well. The plugin has also been tested with the Apple iPod Touch 2nd Gen using the iPeng native application. Interesting. I have heard that IR Blaster has a problem with the volume settings (it seems it can go down but not up). I don't use IR, but the Denon serial protocol via a wireless or wired network. Mine does everything that was described before. I don't have a problem with volume changes but I did have to delay setting the volume by 1/4 second as iPeng was overrunning the Denon amp. Currently I only set the Squeezebox display with the Denon volume when you turn it on. After that its controlled by the SqueezeCenter and Squeezebox. I could use the same feature to reset the display periodically (for example after a few moments or when a new songis played). Right now I don't feel that is an important feature as most users will either use iPeng for everything or if they adjust the volume of the amp they probably won't care that the Squeezebox is showing the exact level. I don't want to overrun the Denon amps with network traffic as they are not very efficient and have a fairly long latency. They also don't support any form of pub/sub so this feature would be pretty dirty. -- Aesculus Chris Aesculus's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14876 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60114 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
