Thanks Wirrunna,I had a feeling someone was going to say that!

Does that mean i would need to put the the scpowertools folder in
c:windows or take scpowertools.exe from the scpowertools folder and put
that in c:windows (is it c:windows or a subdirectory in c:windows?)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC 2.4a5 for 7.3.x beta available for testing

2009-05-12 Thread bpa

I was only referring to the main menus generated from the web pages.
Alternate "Listen Again" is generated from the XML feed which is also
used by the BBCiPlayer plugin.

In early stages of BBCiPlayer Triode and I did some tests using a test
program of Triode's to count missing "URL". Consistently outside of the
UK there were more missing URLs and other problems as if the BBC were
throttling the feed to prevent automated downloads of the XML feeds by
non UK users.

I've just changed Squeezecenter to start 'When I log in' and... guess
what... IT WORKS!!! My 'What-u-hear' source is now streaming to my
living room. I now have spotify throughout my house.

Thank you so much for your time and effort looking into this, it is
very much appreciated.

I've recently noticed that there have been a few issues with
Squeezecenter being unresponsive - judging by the lightning speed of the
Web interface, I'm guessing that this may be solved as well!

Thanks once again - I'm off to enjoy the music.

Regards,

Daz

The problem could be the available audio sources are different to a
service than to an application. Perhaps Windows assumes services
shouldn't be playing audio directly and so hides the main audio source
or it may be a specific issue about the Audigy card and services.

The test running SC manually is intended to test the theory.

I'll give that a go.

I've just repeated the 'Tune in URL' test that I performed earlier (but

If it's getting its audio from the correct source and my earlier tests

I'll report back when I've tried starting SC in different ways.

I've had it installed for a couple of days on Debian Etch under

specifically some composer of the week. But that issue is not
reproducible. Right now all the entries look good.

Install via extension installer was smooth.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Cli

2009-05-12 Thread gharris999

Here's a batch file that will get you started. Put it in the same
folder as scclitool.exe.

SCDisplay.cmd:

Code:

  @echo off
  set scserverip=127.0.0.1
  set cliport=9090
  set playerMAC=00:04:20:10:0A:0B

  set msgDuration=10

  "%~dp0scclitool.exe" %playerMAC% display %1 %2 %msgDuration% -t -h
%scserverip% -p %cliport%

In the above code, fixup the playerMAC address to match that of your
player. Also, set the msgDuration value to match how long you want the
message to appear on the player display.

Finally, call the batch file with two parameters:

SCDisplay.cmd Line%20One%20Message. Line%20Two%20Message

..the first parameter being the line one text you want to display and
the 2nd parameter being what you want to show up on line two. You need
to "%" encode the messages, i.e. substitute "%20" for any spaces in the
message.

I think you should be able to setup the SugarCube dynamic playlist as a
favorite, this way you can launch it with a single button click as you
launch any favorite.

You can setup it as a favorite by using the heart icon beside the
playlist in the web interface. After this you can use the "Favorites"
menu to assign the favorite to a number key.

Nope - a log will have dozens of messages.

1. Goto Setting/Advanced/Logging.
2. Change player.source to DEBUG and click APPLY
3. Open the server log window showing last 1000 lines using the link on
the Setting/Advanced/Logging page.
4. Note the time of the last log message.
5. Got to WebUI main page
6. Start some ordinary MP3 stream playing on WMP such as GrooveSalad or
Radio paradise not a service that needs authorisation or special login.
7. Go to WebUI main page
8. Make sure a hardware player is selected such as SB3 or Boom.
9. enter wavin:0 (that is a numeric zero not letter O) in the Tune-in
URL box under Internet Radio menu. and click the the "play" icon
10. Let the URL play for at least 1 minute - be accurate.
11. Clear the playlist for the player.
12. Copy into a text file all the log message from the log window from
the time note in step 4.
13. Zip the text file and attach to a post. Do not edit the file.
