[SlimDevices: Plugins] SlimNAS - won't create the correct table entries
First of all, thank you Michael, for responding to my email. I keep getting a strange message in my maintenance log for SlimNAS. The SlimNAS service will never start, no matter what version of SqueezeCenter I use. I have the i386 version of FreeNAS fully installed on a partitioned hard drive. The OS partition is about a gig, so there is plenty of space. I keep getting the same repeated errors in the logs: [09-05-14 15:46:39.3698] Slim::Schema::init (154) Warning: Creating new database - empty database or database from 6.3.x found [09-05-14 15:46:39.4567] DBIx::Migration::migrate (115) Warning: Database error: Table 'slimserver.metainformation' doesn't exist at /mnt/RAID5/SlimNAS/squeezecenter/CPAN/DBIx/Migration.pm line 115. Obviously, there is a problem creating or replacing a database. Bad permissions, perhaps? I think it's a permissions problem because if I remove the integration of SlimNAS from FreeNAS, I still cannot manually delete the folder containing the SlimNAS stuff. When I delete it through Windows via SAMBA, it keeps discovering new items and repeatedly deleting them. I have left it go for an hour, but it still deletes stuff. I know the folder is not that big, maybe a few megabytes, which should only take a few seconds to delete. When I delete through FileZilla via FTP, it says permission denied. When I delete through the File Manager via the FreeNAS GUI, it says no such directory. Should I just try reinstalling everything into a new SlimNAS directory, or is this fixable? -- mheppner mheppner's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30314 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63371 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

If you have a recent TrackStat backup you haven't lost anything because then you will always be able to restore the statistics as soon as TrackStat has been updated to work with latest 7.4 release. If you don't have a recent TrackStat backup you might have lost the history, but the current ratings should be there since these are stored in the standard SqueezeCenter database tables besides the TrackStat tables. In this case I would take a backup of the current Cache directory to make sure you can get them back in case SqueezeCenter for some reason decides to discard the database due to bugs. For users that haven't done so already it's really recommended that you configure TrackStat to do daily backups. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info) 'My download page' (http://erland.isaksson.info/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library, Title Switcher and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49483 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SlimNAS - won't create the correct table entries
Yes, it is incredibly odd. Does that error mean is it within the SqueezeCenter? I am using the versions you have linked to on your tutorial, so SqueezeCenter 7.3.2 and your SlimNAS 1.3.0. I just tried it again, to uninstall and remove. I disabled the integration from my FreeNAS and tried to delete. In FileZilla, it looked like it deleted everything because it does the thing where it sort of combs through each folder. However, it got stuck on a folder called MLSD or something and kept trying to reconnect. I just disconnected and reconnected, only to discover the entire SlimNAS folder was still there. In the FreeNAS web GUI, I tried to delete the folder...this is the error I got with that: ERROR(S): lib: Unable to read directory. The only two folders left in the SlimNAS folder (the one where I installed to) are squeezecenter and usr. The lib error happens when I try to delete the usr directory. When I try to delete the squeezecenter folder, it comes back with an error that it is unable to read the directory. It has the same error when I simply try to open it. Is this a hardware problem, on my HDD? I'm going to try to fresh install, into a completely different folder. I'll let you know how that goes, but I would still like to be able to delete the old files. Any ideas? -- mheppner mheppner's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30314 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63371 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
