Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze brought down my server?
I'd advise to broaden the search. On my machines, I often see a segfault message just when stopping the SBS service. (and I have no idea why.) So it is possible the machine was shutting down for some reason, everything stops including SBS, which logged the message. -- epoch1970 Daily dose delivered by: 2 SB Classic (fw 130), 1 SB Boom (fw 50) SqueezeCenter 7.3.4 (Debian 5.0) with plugins: ContextMenu, SaverSwitcher by Peter Watkins Server Power Control by Gordon Harris WeatherTime by Martin Rehfeld IRBlaster by Gwendesign (Felix) FindArt, CDplayer by bpa BBC iPlayer, SwitchPlayer by Triode PowerSave by Jason Holtzapple TrackStat by Erland Isaksson. epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77720 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Cheers, Paul Yeah, that's always going to be a problem. I think the controller's ir beam is quite narrow and low powered in comparison to say a Harmony which seems to work even if pointed away from the device. I got a Harmony for a bargain price from a nice Logitech gut at the Gadget Show Live at the NEC a couple of weeks ago. It's really good (but still not as nice as Suzy Perry in a black leather catsuit ;) The SB3 should switch on automatically though when you start to play something though so it's not all bad. As to integrating CLI commands into SqueezeIR, they're completely different technologies and would make everything (even) more complicated so I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon. -- indifference_engine indifference_engine's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20698 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=66795 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

cublet;538527 Wrote: Many many thanks, they work perfectly! It's a feature I never thought I'd get without going for a Transporter with IR Blaster (the Transporter is still tempting mind!) Excellent! I did some reading and found the Sony protocol (aka SIRC) needs to send the commands twice for them to be actioned upon. In a moment of blondness I wrote the code to ignore the count property if there is only one action - why I don't know! I don't think it wouldn't have worked anyway as the timing on the ir emitter is a bit flakey due to the lack or processing power on the controller. What's needed is a way to string together multiple reps into a single command that gets sent to the emitter's drive in one go. I'm looking at re-writing that part of the code. cublet;538527 Wrote: I've been doing a bit of thinking on how I could possibly learn codes and was looking at the IRBlaster Plugin's learning feature. I know at the moment it only works with transporter/classic but I guess this is hard coded as they're the only ones that can send. If the code could be modified so that it would allow display of codes from any device with an IR receiver (boom/radio/touch) then could the codes it displays be copied and pasted into SqueezeIR's XML file? They don't look like PRONTO codes but if they are a protocol supported by SqueezeIR it could be an easy way to get IR codes. irBlaster can indeed learn codes and generates lirc files that SqueezeIR can use (using it's LIRC protocol). You copy the irBlaster-generated lirc file from your server onto the controller and reference the commands in it from the xml file. I have used it on the classic and it works fine. The learning feature may work on the boom/radio/touch as that part of the plugin only needs a receiver, not an emitter. I don't have any of those so I can't say for certain though. -- indifference_engine indifference_engine's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20698 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=66795 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
Hi all So I upgraded the iPlayer to 1.1.5 and everything is now working perfectly. To confirm, I live in the UK and the BBC live streams would have all the information come through on the screen but there would simply be no sound. The listen again all worked fine. I changed to WMA and everything then worked fine. although the quality of wma streams does not seem as good, but hey, it worked. Updated to 1.1.5 as suggested on this forum and changed back the setting back from wma to AAC(?) (took tick out of use wma), and everything now works perfectly. Thank you so much, I use the BBC iPlayer everyday to listen to radio 2, radio 4, radio 5 and it is a real joy to myself and the family. What a fantastic turnaround for a fix, simply amazing, thank you. -- nfshirley nfshirley's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1378 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: Moose 0.73
In player, advance settings there is an option that reads play other songs in album or directory; I have tried and looks like works in an album (for example I choose song No. 3 and play the rest of the songs) but does not move the the other album. Even choosing that option, Moose still stops in the song that I played and not move to the other. The reason is that Greg put in a max fail counter, and when that's reached SDT will no longer ask for updates. Given that logic, the query for a game in progress must be different than the scheduled time query for an upcoming game, otherwise scheduled games wouldn't show up either. So, I got rid of the Chargers and Illini college football entries in my SDT settings and all is now good with baseball :-) -- mbonsack mbonsack's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1398 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=14327 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] XM Radio Plugin hangs
I installed the XM Plugin v3.5.2 through the plugins tab on my Squeezebox server which was running 7.4. I restarted and see the XM Radio menu item under Internet Radio, but when I click on it, it just hangs. There's a connection to the Squeezbox server but it never responds. I thought this might be due to not being up to 7.5 since I see that's supported now. So I uninstalled the plugin, upgraded to 7.5, restarted, re-installed the plugin, verified by username/password were entered correctly (I double checked on the xmradio.com site to make sure), yet I still have the same result. When I click on the XM Radio menu item in Internet Radio, the server just hangs there. Any other link works fine and I can play music from other sites. Any ideas where I can try and dig in to figure out the issue? cheers, kp -- kporangehat kporangehat's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=37736 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77763 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Everything is working fine, except that when I select music through the CustomBrowse menus, the screen on the Controller does not automatically switch over to the Now Playing screen as it does when I select music through the standard menus. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Beta version of SvrPowerControl
Currently there is no interaction at all between SPC and LightsOut. Apart from the things LightsOut is monitoring anyway like daily backups and hard disk activity, I have set it to monitor network activity of more than 8 KB/s. I have configured a timeout value of 20 minutes, so 20 minutes after I stop streaming any music, the server will hibernate. To make sure there is network load at all when I play music, I have switched all players to proxied streaming mode. Since I never suspend the server, I removed the suspend command from the SPC settings. Selecting suspend to mysqueezebox.com now only pushes all players to mysqueezebox.com. I have set up idle player monitoring with a timeout of 15 minutes and no not-idle command, so before the server hibernates, the players are pushed to mysqueezenetwork.com. Additionally I have configured an end-of-day action that pushes all players to mysqueezenetwork.com before my wireless network shuts itself down. So far it is working really well. Alternatively, I could create and remove a lock file with SPC and have LightsOut monitor that, but because SPC starts the grace period again immediately after it expires, I was concerned that LightsOut would not find the time to shut down the server. And I like the idea of keeping the server awake while data is being transferred, anyway. This way, I don't have to keep the server awake just because the odd notebook is powered up. It will simply not hibernate as long as data is being transferred. The only downside is that network monitoring (and file monitoring) are features of the licensed version, so I will have to pay 15 bucks when the trial period is over, but I was planning to donate, anyway. -- mvordeme 'last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/mvordeme) | scaleo home server 2105 | squeezebox server 7.5.0 - r30464 | server power control 20100115.005818 | squeezebox boom duet | rotel rsp-1066 | rotel rmb-100 | phonar p-5 mvordeme's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22892 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
