As gharris999/pippin said, use this URL:

http://squeezeboxserver_ip:9000/stream.mp3

(in Safari).

I meant for control, not for streaming..

If you are streaming from the stream.mp3, you should be able to control
the stream through the WebUI, iPeng, whatever... (the "virtual player"
should appear as normal player in SBS)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: FindArt plugin beta

2010-06-07 Thread adamdea

I had the same problem, but it went away when I looked in the setting
for the plugin and went and obtained an amazon web access key (sorry
can't remember what it's called but look in the Find art settings).
Without the key amazon won't allow the program access.

I think the requirement to repeat 2 or 3 times is part of the Sony
protocol specification so it makes sense that you need to use the
parameter. The other way of doing it would be to add
"min_repeat 2" into the "begin remote ... end remote" section of the
lirc file but this would then apply to all the commands.

That would require a companion SBS plugin to remote control SqueezeIR
over wifi and careful placing of the Controller. It has been done
though by a different method (take a look at the entry dated 23 May
2009 on ). The combination of this and
SqueezeIR would make a powerful solution. Another option is here

but I don't know if it's iPhone compatible.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] How can I uninstall softsqueeze 3.7 completely!

2010-06-07 Thread Roggger

Do you kknow I really can't remember, but I think it via the SBS web
interface. Not sure if this would be of any help, but the shortcut
left on the desktop points to:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\javaws.exe -offline "C:\Documents and
Settings\Rogalog\Application
Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\50\580542b2-6f3ffe16"

Not too clever on these things :o(

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver

2010-06-07 Thread PeterGV

Got a hang with the "*" tonight... restarted the Squeezebox Server and
couldn't get SDT to run AT ALL:

[10-06-07 20:33:26.3252] main::init (323) Starting Squeezebox Server
(v7.5.1, r30844, Sat Jun 5 02:09:15 PDT 2010) perl 5.01

line 4516.
; fh=Slim::Networking::Async::Socket::HTTP=GLOB(0x68936fc)

Thinking this was some nefarious SqueezeServer plot, I rolled all the
way back to V7.4, which got me:

[10-06-07 20:58:36.7836] main::init (320) Starting Squeezebox Server
(v7.4.2, r30215, Mon Feb 22 10:11:12 PST 2010) perl 5.01

After some searching through this thread, I discovered out of season
sports score entries could be to blame. I had already NFL set to NONE,
but I still had the Celtics listed for NBA (hey, we haven't won yet!)...
so I set NBA to NONE. Restarted SqueezeServer... that didn't help.

Finally, I set MLB to NONE (originally had Red Sox selected) and things
seem to work!

Whew! So, I'm getting weather again, but no sports scores...

Peter

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Screen Switcher, switching screensaver for Controller/Touch/Radio

2010-06-07 Thread vdeknock

Feature request - with the OFF screen would it be possible to allow the
screen to be changed by the pressing/rotating of a button.

ie using the push feature of the volume button the screen that is
displayed could be cycled through a number of options. That way I can
keep my nice big time display but with a quick press of a button see
the weather or any other display.

I see this as a OFF feature only as this is the only time the buttons
are not assigned to a task.
