Ok, I've posted a new version. Code: == What's new: 20110321 == 1). Added a Unsync players before switching to alternate server? option to the Alternate Server settings. Players are not necessarily well behaved if they are pushed onto mysb.com while synced. This option causes the players to be unsynced before they are pushed to the alternate server and, on wake-up when players are fetched back, resynced. -- gharris999 gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

hi all. i found my way here through searching online for a problem i am having with all the squeezebox android apps i have tried. i am using squeezecontrol at the moment as it is the best i have come across (free). once installed they work ok for a few minutes but after that whenever i try to access my music the app gets stuck on the 'loading' page. im not sure if it is a problem with the app, the squeezebox, my wifi or what?? the odd thing is that if i power down the phone completely, then turn it back on it will work fine for a while then begin freezing again. any ideas? i was going to try a paid app but i am a little worried it will happen with that too. cheers edit: i am using a motorola defy -- bensl bensl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45078 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62581 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

You've presented the best case for a two-tiered block system: level 1 to block just the system idle monitor and level 2 to block that plus srvrpowerctrl user requests too. But how to do this? Add a whole parallel SetSoftBlock-IsSoftBlocked-ClearSoftBlock system? I mean, this is entirely doable...but is it worth it? As it stands, if the account under which Squeezeboxserver runs has full permissions to the block file, then you can clear the block file from either the SrvrPowerCtrl webUI page (click on the 'Clear Block' menu entry) or via the CLI with a: srvrpowerctrl clearblock blockfile viacli ..and this same mechanism works for clearing SrvrPowerCtrl's cli initiated 'memory' blocks too. I have been experimenting with a few different Control points (like Plugplayer on iPad and 2Player on Android) and I'm using Whitebear frontend in this test setup to play my music on various devices. Now what I really want is to use iPeng as the controller, but serve my music also to devices other than a Squeezecontroller, directly to a DLNA enabled Receiver for example. First of all, is this possible already now, using Whitebear as the frontend? iPeng does not seem to recognize it as a server, so I am guessing it's not... Secondly, and more long term... seeing that 7.6 is getting native DLNA capabilities allowing SBS to serve other DLNA capable renderers... Will iPeng be following suit and getting functionality to support such setups in the future? However, since you _did_ already purchase Playback on the iPhone version, you don't even need that. Just install iPeng for iPhone on the iPad along with the iPad version (remember: you can install it on several devices as long as you use the same iTunes account) and select Restore Previous Purchase in the Enable Playback menu. Note: This will NOT work directly in iPeng for iPad since that's a different App and you can't share In-App-Purchases between Apps. But once you enable the playback on the iPhone, it will work in both Apps (just don't tell Apple). So in short: Install iPeng for iPhone on the iPad, enable playback there from your previous purchase and it will work in iPeng for iPad, too. I've checked the SuperDateTime Player tab, the Basic Player tab, and everywhere else I can think of. One Boom is exactly as expected. The other is totally wrong. (Oddly, this used to work on both, don't know what changed.) I can't even get the weather icon to turn off!? It is entirely broken, and re-setting the settings didn't help. Every time I request Push Players, two new instances of SCPowerTool.exe are started, but nothing else happens. The configuration web dialog sometimes isn't displayed properly, and I get funny duplicate entries in the SBC's Extras menu. I even tried re-installing SBS, but it didn't help. -- mvordeme 'last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/mvordeme) | scaleo home server 2105 | squeezebox server 7.5.3 - r31792 | server power control 20110315.125752 | squeezebox boom duet | rotel rsp-1066 | rotel rmb-100 | phonar p-5 mvordeme's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22892 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

OK, I've just committed version 20110322.195251 to the repo. I think it fixes those two bugs. The new version ought to: - Not bomb if there are no players currently synced - Locally power off players before pushing to the alternate server - Refresh the list of players on www.mysb.com faster if that's where the players have been pushed - Not spuriously program a wake-alarm. For now, while you're testing, I suggest you modify your custom command so that it's just: cli://srvrpowerctrl pushtoas ..that way you won't get all those instances of SCPowerTool.exe launched. -- gharris999 gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I've tried increasing Alternate server delay time from 60 seconds to 90 but that doesn't seem to help so far. Is the SBC controlling another player, or itself? I.e., do you have the beta playback enabled on the SBC and have that selected as the controlled player? But be that as it may...the SBC does seem to be the problem child. The Radio, Touch and SBC all seem to display push/pull quirks...and different ones for each. This is surprising since they're all based on the same code. But the SBC seems 'quirkiest'. I just performed tests with my SBC controlling my SBBoom. The SBC did follow the Boom to mysb.com and back again. But it does seem to take some time. Try the this latest version of the plugin. I did add a couple of calls to force SBS to update it's list of players on mysb.com after players have been pushed. That may have the effect of making the SBC a little more prompt about following along. -- gharris999 gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
