Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
when iPeng does this background refresh it has other usability problems, if iPeng has been in the background you can not imidietly switch to iPeng and press pause for example, you have to wait a long time. further if you are on the now playing screen ? It migth never update, you sometimes have to switch to the main view to trigger iPeng to update and then be usable. it would be better if iPeng could send pause and skip orders and similar even if it's unsure of playlist status etc. -- Mnyb Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub. [SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicInformationScreensaver question
I am trying to configure a Custom playlist display that is similar to the Default (Squeezecenter) display (except it will also display song ratings via TRACKSTATRATINGDYNAMIC). However, I can't get this customisation to work the same as the standard SBS display. "NOW_PLAYING (X_OF_Y)" top-left, doesn't just display the current play mode (now playing, paused, stopped, etc) on the currently playing track, it displays it on every track in the playlist, so I can't tell what track in the current playlist is currently playing! NOWPLAYING_DEFAULT displays the current now playing information (song time/time remaining/progress bar, etc) for every song as I scroll through the current playlist, not only when the current song is displayed. BTW, is there a list of all title format keywords that can be configured? ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Wave Input plugin v1.00
I'm one of those people who finds it hard to stop trying to solve problems I thought I would see what some of the processes were doing. When I start and stop my music source the following happen to the I/O byte counts in synchronisation with starting and stopping the music: 1) wavin2cmd continues to write out a steady flow of bytes (no change whether music is playing or not) - I assume that's because it's a steady PCM stream? 2) flac, which has been reading in a steady amount in but writing little or nothing starts reading and writing a lot more 3) socketwrapper starts reading more data (it never writes much at all) I'm guessing here, but I think that means: My audio card is feeding a stream to wavin2cmd all the time via some means or other, which doesn't change in volume of data with the content, and wavin2cmd writes that out to flac. Flac converts this to nothing much when there is little content, but when music is included in the source, write that out more (I don't understand why it sees more coming in if it is straight from wavin2cmd). I'm not sure of socketwrapper's role in all this. I don't see squeezesvr doing much at all, so I don't understand which process is writing out over the ethernet to my Touch device. I am, however, pretty sure that flac is sending data straight out, so any delay from security software is coming after that. I have ensure my Norton trusts my Touch, and allows all protocols from flac, wavin2cmd, socketwrapper and squeezesvr. I have played with intrusion prevention, anti-spam, and the rest. Turn all security off, stop/restart the server etc. I still get random changes in delay. I sometimes find the delay is stable at around 12 seconds. Stop everything, try again - still 12 seconds. Go away. Come back. It's up to 1.5 minutes again. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Slacker Premium problems.
I pay for a Slacker Premium service. I have service problems on a frequent basis. The music stops after playing less than one song. The message is something like "cannot stream next track, Go to Slacker.com and reset". This happens so frequently that it is a great inconvenience. Does anyone else have this problem and does anyone know what triggers it? I don't feel like paying for a service that causes me frustration. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
This is my recollection of what happened, perhaps you want to see if you can reproduce ? I was using iPeng/iPhone (not yet upgraded to yesterday's -?- iOS version) on an unsynched SB3 player. The player was in alarm mode (it plays for 1 hr. in the morning), but I had taken over the random playlist and was ready to start a MusicIP playlist. I was ready to hit the "play this mix" item on top of a MusicIP mix, or did hit the item, but the subsequent choice for >, + or >| was not yet displayed. No other player was on at the time. At that moment the alarm popup from iOS appeared (I use my iPhone as a backup alarm in the morning). I hit "snooze" to quiet the alarm for a while. That dismissed the popup as expected. Then I hit the "play" item in the MusicIP list and nothing happened. The player was greyed out at the bottom of the window. I looked at the player and it was in stop mode (from the looks of the screensaver) I went to the player list in iPeng and my SB3 was *gone* I started the web interface and found it under SBS as power on, stopped, empty playlist. I *think* I restarted iPeng -hit the (-) sign in the list of active apps- and it still wasn't there. I launched an album from the web interface and the SB3 started playing. I restarted -again ?- iPeng: I am positive this time it showed the (-) badge and I killed it. When I came back into iPeng the player was there and the playlist was correct. I could start a MusicIP mix and everything was nominal. I saw later another alarm popup while music was playing, I dismissed it and iPeng continued working. I was doing nothing at the time, just browsing the current playlist. I can't say nothing happened on the wifi side: my player is wired. Normally my wifi does not exhibit dropouts. -- epoch1970 Daily dose delivered by: 3 SB Classic, 1 SB Boom iPeng (iPhone + iPad) SqueezeCenter 7.4.2 (Debian 5.0) with plugins: MusicIP Server Power Control by Gordon Harris WeatherTime by Martin Rehfeld IRBlaster by Gwendesign (Felix) Find cover art by bpa BBC iPlayer, SwitchPlayer by Triode PowerSave by Jason Holtzapple TrackStat, Song Info, Song Lyrics by Erland Isaksson SaverSwitcher, ContextMenu by Peter Watkins. epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
