Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Ipad Ipeng
So how about this for a report, is it clear enough? This is a problem that shows up when using 3rd party apps such as ipeng and squeeze pad. When I can search napster from ipeng and when you find the album you want you can hold your finger on the album and save it to favourites. Recently this feature has stopped working properly, instead of saving the favourite under the album name it saves it under the name albums. As far as I can see there is no way of changing the name of the favourite afterwards. I have posted a question on the slim devices forums here http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79037page=3 And the developers of the apps believe it is a problem with the Napster menus as created by mysqueebox.com -- SW4Peter SW4Peter's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9672 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79037 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Apologies if this is already clear, but this thread is so long (I have read it, but may have missed the crucial detail) and I'm not very technical! I have Squeezebox Server 7.6 installed on a QNAP TS-119 NAS with a Squeezebox Classic 3 and Boom linked to it. I believe the TS-119 has an ARM processor and I seem to recall that this plugin only works on Intel machines. Is that still the case, or will this plug in work with my setup? Triode - I obviously haven't used the plug in yet, but I hope Logitech show you some appreciation! [SlimDevices: Plugins] Advanced Encryption Package 2011 v5.53
ADVANCED ENCRYPTION PACKAGE 2011 V5.53 | 7 MB Encryption technology is a difficult thing, especially if you are not technical savvy. How is an older family member supposed to figure out how to create self-decrypting file, securely delete file, use Public Key Infrastructure to receive mails securely? It is possible to store all your encryption passwords on USB Flash Drive. You just need to remember single Master Password for the password vault on this USB memory stick. No need to keep 20 passwords in mind when you can store these encryption keys on flash memory in an encrypted form and remember just one password. It might sound simplistic, but strong passwords are a must for good security. And good password is combination of several words that aren't themselves a word interspersed with special characters (e.g., !4scOrEsDayNYeaRs_ag0) AEP PRO includes the PKI keys manager and the key generator tool. It generates pair of public/private keys with strength: 512, 768, 1024 or 2048 bit. RSA encryption is used with strong symmetric encryption algorithms together. Public key is used to encrypt randomly generated password. And this password is used to encrypt whole file. AEP PRO can protect private key file by password. So, you can store your decryption keys in an open form on USB sticks, windows folders, etc. It can be stolen but cannot be used. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Hey Triode - Thanks for your continued support of this awesome plugin. I actually prefer using it to the Spotify client for all the history functionality! Anyway, I noticed a 2.0.3 plugin available for installation. When I tick it ready for upgrade, and select Apply, restart the server (and wait a minute as per the dialog), nothing much happens. The plugins page reloads, and 2.0.3 is listed at the top again as an available upgrade! Is there some trick to forcing the update to take? thanks! [SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugin Cover Feed now in BETA
Dear all, I have written a SqueezeCenter plugin named Cover Feed, attached to this message. The idea of this plugin is to feed covers to a RSS client like a digital photo frame. This idea is not new, I just discovered a thread on this topic here. Few photo frames support RSS and the ones that do (by e.g. eStarling, D-Link) are not cutting it yet. RSS feeds are by no means standardized well. But they are immensely popular at social media sites which gives the RSS standard momentum. My guess is that we will see devices with proper RSS support hitting the shops before long. And when they do we like to get our album art on there. Well, at least I do. The plugin provides an Atom based RSS feed per connected player. It only returns the cover of the currently playing song. The feed is then updated when the next song is played. The RSS client must check for updates frequently to get the desired result (cover matching the song being played). Maybe someone here likes to give it a spin and give me feedback. When Cover Feed is installed it can be found in the Extras menu. The first thing to check is whether the feed is working properly by clicking it. Your browser has RSS support built-in, so that is check #1. regards, Tom +---+ |Filename: CoverFeed10BETA.zip | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=12498| +---+ -- warpian warpian's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=49534 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90375 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

And if I cd to that directory and invoke either spotifyd64 or spotifyd manually, either of them will run without errors and will let me use Spotify through the Squeezebox. even though the plugin settings say that the helper app is not running. So this is more of a minor irritation than a real problem, but I wish I could work out why it's happening. Any ideas?
