I've been getting intermittent problems with BBC iPlayer Listen Again. It's been working fine for ages, then wouldn't work at all last week, suddenly worked again this morning, then suddenly broke again. Standard BBC live streams are fine, it's just Listen Again content that's troublesome. 0019: Can't locate HTML/Tagset.pm in @INC (@INC contains: Probably another core(?) module which is not included in the minimalistic perl installation on your NAS. I'll include it in the next release. However I now can't play songs through the official spotify app, it just says 'Problem-can not play file' on the Boom display. Have no problem playing internet radio though. I just wanted to report that the BBC engineers now seem to have resolved issue concerning Radio 3 Listen Again which has, in recent weeks, sometimes being streamed as 56 kbps (HE-AAC) instead of the now default 320 kbps (AAC-LC). There have been no instances of 56 kbps since Breakfast on Friday morning and I've been told by a contact at the BBC that: A particularly gnarly bug was detected in a recent update to the system. Rather than show the screen dump - you should copy lines from the log file as that will show the real messages. I just tested 1.2.4 and I get the same missing BBCMeta module message. Parse error messages are typical of security s/w messing about with network streams. I wouldn't worry about Extra issue I'll have a update ready soon which uses the new iplayer:// URL . I made the change last week but there was a peculiar bug which I couldn't track down and I felt it was a timing issues. The 1.2.4 update seems to have make it disappear. Just wondering, are people who have done the workaround so that weather shows, seeing sports scores or the regular forecast with the SDT in Extras on the Touch? I did the manual adjustment and got the SDT Screensaver working, but it's not showing forecasts or scores, or any SuperDateTime icon in the extras section, so I just wanted to make sure that is what it's doing right now. OK I have it working now but not sure how I achieved it ! Here's what I did : When I logged in tonight a new version of media server was available so I installed it (still R7.7.0 though !) I opened the control panel and ran cleanup from the advanced tab I downloaded the standalone spotify software for windows and logged in with remember my password ticked, then closed it down. Restarted media server and removed the official and unofficial spotify plugins. Restarted media server again and added the unofficial spotify app. (It restarted itself then again) I disabled the helper app entered my credentials and it worked. I don't use playback often on the iPhone. I just noticed that after 20 minutes listening to iPeng with the iPhone in my pocket the sound level is muted (much softer). If I unlock the phone, audio level does not go up. When I reopen iPeng, level returns to normal. Then I can lock the phone and it will play at the same volume for 20 minutes, before muting again. I've updated the BBCiPlayerExtra plugin to 1.05 which now uses the new BBCiPlayer iplayer:// URLs.
