Hi mikerob,

thanks for your reply.

But I am unsure how this could work.

When accessing my Music from OS X the path will be

/Volumes/Multimedia/iTunes/Music

but when the files are accessed from squeezeserver running on the NAS
the path is

/share/Multimedia/iTunes/Music

So I guess there is no possible way.

In addition to that I am using Lion and as you mentioned there is no
ppc-compatibility any more.

So right now I have switched from iTunes to a FLAC-based
Music-collection:

Here is what I use:

- XLD (http://tmkk.pv.land.to/xld/index_e.html) for accurate CD-Rip to
FLAC including tagging and artwork
- Automatorscript for MusicIP analysis with genPUID
(http://ftp.musicbrainz.org/pub/musicbrainz/genpuid/)
- Flac Player app (http://hammockdistrict.com/flacplayer) on iPhone to
listen on the go (Files are added via Document-Sync in iTunes or Filer
app (http://hammockdistrict.com/filer/) directly from NAS via WebDAV

- Enjoy MusicIP Mixes on my Squeezebox and Lossless playback on the go
(believe it or not, I sense a difference compared to lossy formats)

Kind of sorry to say goodbye to iTunes but as long as there is no
native support for FLAC it does not fit my needs.

Yours Celindir

Hi,

Thanks for coming back to me.

I've run the same scenario again all through the web UI and found the
problem to still occur and have used two tracks to illustrate the
point. In most cases these tracks do not appear in the playlist but
they can easily be added just by manually selecting another track from
the album. For both tracks I have included logs which show that the
track is playing and then at a subsequent time (i.e. by running the
tests again in the next minute or so) it won't actually play. I have
also included a log where one of the non-working songs is working but
fails to move onto the next track at the end (although this might be
further complicated by the fact that the next track in the playlist is
one which only works on occasion).

Many thanks

Adam

If someone raises a bug on Bugzilla, why not notify then via email when
 the bug is 'fixed'?
I can assure you that didn't happen with Bug 17877.

Secondly - a clue as to how to find this fixed version would be more
 than welcome.
Do I have to download a nightly build?
Or is it included in an automatic software update?
Is there a sticky post somewhere with all this info in? If not, may I
 suggest you do this.

So, from my jaundiced perspective - I have not done any tests as I
don't know whether I am testing a version with the fix in or not and
don't want to waste (more) time testing Logitech's software for them.

When you provide some of the above clues, I'll do that.

Until then I don't know if you have actually fixed it or not.

With my basic and limited understanding of 'BUGS' they are a pain if
they affect my normal daily operation regardless of whether they have
been 'introduced' or 'found'. In this situation I was pleasantly
surprised to see the user community helping to locate, identify,
resolve and then test new versions of the code so that the majority can
have a reliable service. I'm still happy to congratulate those involved,
I'm sure there are lots of bugs being found or whatever and fixed, from
my perspective this was one that impacted my daily use of LMS was my
first experience and for me seems to be resolved in a very timely
manner.

I assumed that a nightly (BETA) build would contain the fix so for the
first time ever installed (at my own risk) a BETA version of the
software so I can try it out. I would expect the a 'released' version
of the software will be available in the future and at the point your
instance of LMS will prompt you to download it.

I can't see anything wrong with the configuration, can you try to:
1. Make sure the plugin is checked in LMS Settings/Plugin
2. Make sure License Manager indicate that you have a valid license
3. Shutdown LMS, delete sqlplaylist.prefs file it complained about,
startup LMS and configure SQL Playlist again.

Feels a bit strange that it should be 1 or 2, I suspect there is
something wrong with your prefs file, so hopefully 3 solves it.

Could you try it with the extra logging on - these debugs don't include
the information I was looking for. Also could you explain exactly which
web menus you have used to play the album in the first place as I can't
reproduce.

Hi Triode,

I thought the extra logging was on - didn't realise you needed to
'Apply' changes!

I can only find a small amount of logging data when clicking the 'Log'
link, is there a file based location that contains all the info, mine
seems really truncated (I've included a sample but it doesn't contain
anything of interest).

In terms of replicating the 'extra' tracks the following steps always
seem to work:

Web UI
Select 'My Apps'
Select 'Spotify'
Select 'Search' and enter text 'now 80'
Select 'Albums (5)'
Select 'play' icon from Now80
Typically 22 tracks are added to the playlist and they all work

Now if you select the 'play' icon again the playlist will be updated to
either 34, 24 or back to 22 tracks and it really appears rather random,
you could click the 'play' icon 15 times and it would keep listing 34
tracks but the next time might drop to 22. It is these extra tracks
that occasionally appear that don't always play (as my previous logs
show them working sometimes and others not)

Until I can determine to capture the full log I've included some screen
grabs to show the different amount of tracks for the same album.

Thanks

Adam

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Update iTunes with time last played?

2012-02-13 Thread tek_san

I tried itunesupdate but did not get it to work.

Same for the trackstat and customscan combination.
I looked around but did not find a system requirements information for
these plugins.

I am using a mac with 10.6.8, itunes 10.5.3 and the perl version is
5.10

trackstat / customscan errors in the server.log state:
Use of uninitialized value in pattern match (m//) at
/Users/localadmin/Library/Caches/Squeezebox/InstalledPlugins/CustomScan/Modules/CustomTag.pm
line 286

Slim::Utils:Misc::msg (1304) Warning: Error: Unable to read at least 16

Can anyone help?
