Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Hi, I think since I updated my iPhone to the latest version of iPeng, it doesn't want to queue MusicIP mixes. It generates the mixes fine, but when I select Play, or Play Next nothing happens. When I press Play, it just clears the current playlist, replacing it with a blank one, when I press Play Next, nothing happens, the current playlist stays in tact. There are no errors in the log... I can create and play mixes fine from the Boom, SB3 or webinterface Is it working fine for other people? treble's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2797 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Same here! Looks like it's still broken. I'm wagering they don't have an incentive to fix it, unfortunately. Re: Announce: Spicefly SugarCube Version 2.03 (Automatic MusicIP DJ) for 7.x
Here's a new problem. I'm having a problem with MusicIP telling me a lot of the songs I have are unanalyzable and when I look at the log, I see lots of these: Fingerprint failed (mis-execution). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] NPR Plugin Stopped Working
The problem is not the site is broken but rather the WMA playlists are not being generated. This may be an accident or it may be that NPR wants to stop WMA support and only provide full programs via Flash audio. The broadcast vs podcast issue relates to rights and not necessarily relating to the various stations. Prarie Home Companion recently stopped RealAudio support and full programs is only available via Flash apparently for rights protection issue so perhaps NPR is trying the same but forgot about the thin.npr.org site in the process. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95118 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] NPR Plugin Stopped Working
I have a hunch that could be what NPR is doing, unfortunately. I like to listen to Morning Edition later in the day sometimes, and there's no podcast for that. I was wondering how hard it would be to scrape (UGH!) the download links on the Rundown page? From a scraping perspective, it looks pretty easy, but putting the logic into a plugin might take some more work. http://www.npr.org/templates/rundowns/rundown.php?prgId=3 The Rundown page already has the MP3 direct link, it has the date navigation to go back and forth in time (a few months, it looks like). Since they're using templates (yeah!), a generic scraper could be created. I'm up for writing the scraping logic, but I'm so out of touch on plugins, I wouldn't know where to start. brain spinning Actually, it looks like you have that already covered with your Parsers directory. The source file is pretty well blocked out - you look for the 2nd !-- END CLASS=STORYCONTENT -- Then look for the next input field and parse the value (input type=hidden id=title152653944 value=Presbyterians Have Varied Views On Gay Marriage/input then you look for the next download link, and grab the URL (lia class=download href=http://pd.npr.org/anon.npr-mp3/npr/me/2012/05/20120514_me_01.mp3?dl=1;spanDownload/span/a/li) Any tips on how I could try and implement this? More thinking out loud. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] NPR Plugin Stopped Working
Two problems with using the graphical page and Flash audio * Years ago the first version fo the NPR plugin scraped the graphical pages to get the URLs - it was a real pain to keep up to date as NPR kept making small changes every few months. * Flash audio does not seem to have a rtmp URL so it is necessayr to unravel the javascript code which invoke the swf player and then use some other 3rd party app to play the flash stream. This may not be apossible if the stream ius encrypyted. Also it is possible the code would have to be updated each time the flash player swf was changed. Both of these issues result in a lot of regular maintenance and plugin updates. A while back I started looking for alternative simpler approach using the NPR API ( see http://www.npr.org/api/queryGenerator.php ) whichis used by the smartphone apps such as http://code.google.com/p/npr-android-app/ However I'm not doing anything until NPR replies to the thin.npr.oprg problem. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95118 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Hi again, I can't remember the reasons or any outcome but my ongoing issue with Spotify not progressing to the next track unless I force it to do so continues - is this because the next track is unplayable and it gets stuck? Would it be possible to say whether this is a Spotify problem or the nature of the plugin? Try to just tap Play this mix, not hold it, I believe the context menu is broken, too. Thanks so much for Muso. It is great and makes accessing my music so easy. One request - my laptop has media buttons (play, pause, stop etc.) that respond to some of the SB front ends I have tried (Moose to name one). I am wondering if it is possible to do so from Muso.
