Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Hi. Is there anyway to hide the squeezebox menus (artists, genres etc) in iPeng as I'm using custom browse. The 'hide menu' plugin only seems to work for players. 05mattjax's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39786 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I have changed "Maximum Tracks" to 1, bu it still only add 500 to Squeezebox playlist. If it comes to causes, this is the web browser bug I was talking about: http://techcrunch.com/2012/09/21/ajax-web-apps-in-ios-6-are-sort-of-broken/ Seems to finally get some attention. pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Hi I'm looking for users to help me track down a problem which Spotify has reported to me. There appear to be some cases where the plugin will create high levels of requests to the spotify servers for metadata. I've not been able to find this so far, so have built a slightly updated version of the current plugin which will count the number of requests made. I'd would like to encourage a few users to install it and use as normal and then report here if you see the stats incrementing rapidly on the settings page. There are no new features with this version - it should operate exactly as version 2.2.8 does, but counts extra internal information which are reported on the settings page. To install: 1) Add my test repo as an additional repo at the bottom of the plugins page: Code: http://triodeplugins.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/testrepo.xml 2) Install version 2.2.9test Then use as normal and report here if you see the numbers in the Statistics section increasing rapidly (several thousands?): Code: Debug Version - please report if these numbers increment rapidly (here) create1: 33 create2: 0 playlist: 1 I'm trying to diagnose any specific problems with the plugin and at present can't see what may be causing this. I think I'll just wait a while to update the OS (mainly for other apps I'm using). Thanks for the info. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
It won't wreck it, there are two issues: 1. Settings alarms will set them to a wrong time, the time will be off by the difference between the time zone you are in and the time zone I am in (CET). It's the reappearance of an old iOS 4 bug... 2. If you use iPeng's built-in web browser to browse for music links and you tap on a JavaScript link, iPeng will completely hang. If you are using the browser a lot (few people except for myself do), this one is a biggie. It's ultimately an iOS 6 bug but the problem is that the only real workaround I have is not that much better and does instead mean it can hang for up to a minute I filed a bug and I'm still looking for a better workaround, which is why I haven't provided an update for the iPad version, yet. 3. On iPhone there are more things. All of them are cosmetic and only affect the appearance. Mainly it's context menus having a wrong background (something where iPhone now behaves like iPad) and it doesn't have support for the big screen on iPhone 6, yet. I hope to have updates for both versions within two weeks, but the iPhone version gets a bigger redesign because that will make better use of the additional screen estate on iPhone 6 and I also wanted to make the player list permanently accessible (no more swiping on the NowPlaying screen for that one), and that's not completed, yet, there's so much artwork in this :) In short: if you can live without the web browser and you can calculate offsets for Alarms (they will be _shown_ correctly, so no confusion there), it's fine right now. Except for iPeng, expect half of your non-updated Apps to creash frequently, though, but there are a lot of updates coming along right now so that's probably a very short-lived issue. pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IR Blaster and Duet Controller...?
Nice find. irrecord now has a "-a" option to convert raw to hex codes. You need a recent version of lirc, namely NOT the one in debian Squeeze. The version in testing (to be wheezy) worked for me: Code: # irrecord -a RA02_lirc.conf # # this config file was automatically generated # using lirc-0.9.0-pre1(emulation) on Fri Sep 21 14:17:39 2012 # # contributed by # # brand: RA-02 # model no. of remote control: # devices being controlled by this remote: # begin remote name RA-02 bits 32 flags SPACE_ENC|CONST_LENGTH eps30 aeps 100 header 8972 4513 one 570 1670 zero 570 550 ptrail559 repeat 8991 2233 gap 107923 toggle_bit_mask 0x0 begin codes VOLMINUSKEY 0xC188E817 VOLPLUSKEY 0xC1886897 AUX1 0xC188C03F TAPE20xC188609F TUNER0xC18840BF TAPE10xC188A05F AUX2 0xC18820DF CD 0xC188807F POWERTOGGLE 0xC18800FF MUTE 0xC18818E7 PHONO0xC18850AF end codes end remote Tidy. But volume still doesn't repeat, so for me there is no gain over the IR-blaster learned file. epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=71281 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hey Pippin, I got a message on my iPad that iOS 6 is ready. Have you tested iPeng with iOS 6 yet? I would rather not upgrade the operating system right now if it will wreck iPeng.
