But I got the rtsp link rtsp://mobilestreaming.itworkscdn.com/radioorient/radioorient it opens in mplayer (and realplay). but for some reason AlienBBC does not open it, even though it uses the same mplayer... It complains about end of file, I guess the server buffering scheme does not work. Maybe my version is getting pretty old, but as soon as I upgrade from 7.3.3 then the new version do not support the old squeezebox well. If you have any idea how to modify this rtsp stream to make it work with Alien, I would appreciate it ( or maybe I should ask that question on the Alien thread) Thanks! mitrih's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7800 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90070 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Trackstat - Moving Files, saving Stats
erland- thanks for your thoughts and suggestions. I'm not happy with the options currently in the cloud but it seems that google play is the best of the bunch at the moment. i think my best option right now is to try to write the trackstat info into my files and then upload to google play. I looked through the thread on that process and sadly i'm still a bit lost. Do I need to make a custom tag and map the trackstat info to that tag or will the trackstat playlist plugin actually write ratings to the files itself? thanks! exile's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4579 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35962 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

FYI, following the "More info" link on the LMS Plugins tab in Server Settings gives you a 404 Not Found for http://www.herger.net/MusicArtistInfo/ But it is probably on your to-do. At least not unless the service provider provides really attractive music listening hardware. Unfortunately, I believe currently both Apple, Google and Amazon streaming services have these issues at the moment. However, if you want to enjoy the music purely from a computer or an Android phone, Google Music might be a good choice. exile wrote: > > any idea how i could import my trackstat info into my google play > account? > According to this: http://play.google.com/about/music/unlock/ You should at least be able to import ratings from iTunes. I don't think they have any API, so it's probably not possible to do something that imports them directly from TrackStat, but possibly you might be able to accomplish something through iTunes or by writing the ratings to tags as I think some users have been able to do through JRiver Media Center. See the following post and the link it contains for more information about JRiver Media Center: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?96622-Trackstat-Update-actually-audio-file&p=719298&viewfull=1#post719298 I haven't done it myself and I'm not using Google Music myself so I'm afraid I can't provide much more help than this. exile wrote: > > or any ideas at all about how to use the google cloud location of my > music with the squeeze environment? > This is the best I can come up with, I've not tried it myself: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?99482-Stream-google-play-music In addition to this, I think iPeng is able to open a web browser with the Google Music web gui and play music, possibly this might be a solution ? kidstypike wrote: > I'm not sure what your asking, but if I use the search box in Internet > Radio, I get 3 results, 2 of these play. Or have I misunderstood? You got me on this one ;) they must have updated it, it was not playing on the search that you pointed out, but now it does ( perfect thanks!) ... But here is the general issue I get into (relating to my last post). For example take this station Radio Orient 88.3 88.7, if you use the search you do not get it ( you get another one with similar name). I used to find it in my Tunein presets, but now even those do not play. This station plays flash from the web site http://www.radioorientlb.com/ If you look at the source file, you find these 3 streams for it http://mobilestreaming.itworkscdn.com/radioorient/radioorient/playlist.m3u8 rtsp://mobilestreaming.itworkscdn.com/radioorient/radioorient rtmp://mobilestreaming.itworkscdn.com/radioorient None of them play. so I get stuck.. if you look at some earlier posts in this thread, some of the senior members have a way of decoding these streams into an expanded form that slimserver understands.. For example if you look before rtsp://stream.lebanese-forces.com:80/live/RLL one senior member translated that to rtmp://stream.lebanese-forces.com:80?app=bGl2ZQ==&tcurl=cnRtcDovL3N0cmVhbS5sZWJhbmVzZS1mb3JjZXMuY29tOjgwL2xpdmU=&live=MQ==&streamname=UkxM&.aac I am not sure how they do that ( maybe rtmpcheck or something like that ?) but somehow this works! So yes I agree with you we should always check if the search works, but when it does not this is what I am asking. And agree. Pre-squeezebox days, I had a small laptop (with attached USB drive containing music) connected to a DAC feeding my stereo. I did local music and internet radio, pandora, etc. But if it is just pandora and no local music, the SB makes sense (I've set one up for a 85 year old woman, who uses it only for Pandora or a couple of different radio stationsand it all just works for her). *Location 1:* VortexBox Appliance 4TB (2.2) > LMS 7.7.2 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet) *Location 2:* VBA 3TB (2.2) > LMS 7.7.2 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win7(64) > LMS 7.8 > SqueezePlay *Spares:* VBA 4TB, SB3, Touch (3), Radio (3), CONTROLLER *Controllers:* iPhone4S (iPeng), iPad2 (iPengHD & SqueezePad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.7 on Win7(64) laptop Ripping (FLAC) - dbpoweramp, Tagging - mp3tag, Spotify garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99170 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
