easily enough).

Probably a 3.x - on that topic, recompilation is easy and if you are a
bit used to that and really want this plugin, I can help you to try to
build it for centos

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)

2016-04-23 Thread jw111

I installed the Chromecast Bridge plugin v. 0.2.0.2 from Philipe's repo
onto my Linux computer that runs Clearos 5, which is based on Centos 5
or RHEL 5.

I am using squeeze2cast x86 static. I get message in setup window:
Configuration file missing - create one by clicking "generate" or, if
autosave is on, refresh this page.

I hit generate or check autosave and wait, but the message never
disappears.

I turned on debugging.

The log file shows the following messages which repeat every six
seconds.

Retarting Squeeze2cast after crash:
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/CastBridge/Bin/squeeze2cast-x86-static
-Z -I -f /var/log/squeezeboxserver/castbridge.log -d all=debug -x
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/castbridge.xml -i
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/castbridge.xml

Any ideas what is wrong or how to proceed?

Thanks for further reply and the information tcutting. Upon looking
again, and more closely, at Custom Clock (CC), it does look like it may
do what I want, and, yet another great admission, I was being dim - of
course the 'now playing' screen is what I see when a track is selected
(I'll just go and drown myself now - my excuse is too many players both
portable and computer based). I am very grateful for the pointer to the
fact that CC does not need to display a clock

I was aware that CC is not used for navigating and I am a user of
Erland's Custom Browse for that, along with the Custom Scan and
Multi-Library plugins as well, but I couldn't see when I was scanning
the documentation if CC can detect which library I am looking at, as the
Custom Browse menus can. That would be necessary to avoid some really
silly stuff appearing for non-classical music (Orchestra & Conductor for
starters).

I have now just checked my licence info on Erland's site, and as I paid
for the complete package (lifetime) I do have a licence for CC, so I
will experiment further - I do need to check out the Library support
though.

Thanks again for the help.

LMS can be confused as it identifies the player by Mac id it probably
can't tell the players apart and thinks it's the same .

Hi cramcram,

The 1053 DSM6 package already contains the faad binaries which are
shipped with LMS. So that might not be the problem. All radia streams
mentioned in the thread work for me an transcoded to pcm is AAC is
switched off.
Can you give me a stream which is is not working for you?

So in answer to your question, you contacted me directly which is cool

which is excellent.

Yes I check the forums here sometimes but not that frequently, however I

some new programs/apps that plug into the MusicIP functionality, just
not finished them beyond dev alpha quality So yes I still dabble :)

I usually fix it by running the install procedure for the gmusic api
again (https://github.com/hechtus/squeezebox-googlemusic) and restarting
LMS but I wonder what´s causing it since I didn't have this problem
before and I would like to fix it permanently.

I have done the changes in Settings.pm and Plugin.pm since before and I
run version 9.0.1 of Gmusic Dev.

Running LMS on a ReadyNas Ultra (intel)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Test] Repo for LMS 7.9.0 on Synology DSM 5.*

2016-04-23 Thread cramcram

Is it possible to add AAC Plus transcoding support to LMS Update? On
DS-712+ using the latest version (1053) of LMS Update this does not
work. The probable reason for this is documented in this thread:

http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?99110-Internet-radio-station-won-t-play

The version of faad coming with DSM doesn't support AAC Plus transcoding
- the version shipped with LMS would do so.

Thanks for all your efforts.
