Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
Hope I'm not breaking any etiquette by posting a new question on this thread .. I'm trying to get Squeeze2cast to work on my HP media server running WHS v1 unfortunately LMS is not finding my Chromecast audio unit. I have tried installing and reinstalling LMS and the Squeeze2Cast plugin but with no sucess. I have temporarily turned off the firewall on the WHS to rule that out. Google Chrome on my PC detected the CCA and had no problems casting so I installed Chrome (and Chromecast plugin) on the WHS and could cast music from the browser to the CCA without problems. Anyone have ideas on how troubleshoot the problem with LMS? I would really appreciate any help. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotify-connect-web
Yes, I wondered about this, too. One question will of course be how long Spotify tolerates this (it's a reverse engineered implementation) but past experience shows they are pretty tolerant as long as people only use that kind of stuff for legit applications --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 9, the Universal App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105968 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotify-connect-web
I buy a linux audio device with spotify connect available on it. In sources I find some traces of github repo. So now it is possible to have spotify connect on raspberry and some Linux boards have successfully implement it with the help of code sources below. So I think this is possible, just missing a competant developper to do it on Squeezebox ;) There are 3 repo about spotify connect on github : https://github.com/sashahilton00/spotify-connect-resources https://github.com/Fornoth/spotify-connect-web https://github.com/badfortrains/spotcontrol How to install on raspberry here : https://discourse.osmc.tv/t/howto-setup-a-spotify-connect-web-server-on-a-raspberry-pi-with-osmc/15818... It's not very complex. There is already airplay on Squeezebox with this repository : https://github.com/disaster123/shairport2_plugin May be with the same principle you can redirect audio from "spotify-connect-web" to Squeezebox. I think that someone like disaster123 and some others could make it easily... Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Erland Song Lyrics 1.1.3856 stopped working
The problem with a kickstarter is: this is a subscription model, not a one-time fee. You need to use "lyrics" I believe, but Michael will have to answer this. There's another thread about "unsynched lyrics" that recently opened. --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 9, the Universal App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106302 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

When i have a look @ roon you have to pay $ 119 per year for all information (artist, blablabla, lyrics) or with $499 you get lifetime access. So it´s difficult to answer, a abo model with 50,00 per year is ok for me. Maybe time for kickstarter or similar, if the big SB community wants lyrics a.s.o. this could be a possibility to find out how much they are willing to pay. Never get lyrics back is no reason to me to leave LMS or iPeng, but will make a little crack in my heart :p SB Touch, Receiver, Controller, Boom, 3x SB Radio Several Builds with RaspberryPi and HiFiBerry PCB´s daphile 2TB with 57.000 songs QNAP NAS iPeng on iPhone 4,5, iPad2, iPad mini 2.
