Hi mrMuppet The only thing I could suggest would be a fresh install of LMS if that is not to painful. I am a little confused as to whether you have ever successfully installed Spotify before this problem. To be courteous to the Original Poster I recommend you start a new thread rather than high jack this one. I find with a new install a lot gets cleaned up. I had de-activated these auto update from syno a while ago when new releases were a mess, then got them back on since the recent releases were all right but looks like I'll stop updating again for a while! Protocol handler is not working either. Help App not running. But i took a look in the Server log and i don't understand what i found: Code: Plugins::SpotifyProtocolHandler::Spotifyd::__ANON__ (90) unable to write log file: /var/log/lms/spotifyd.log I changed the rights of this folder and the files in it to 777 for testing, but i still get this error. Another question: How can i link an open port to a special directory? All i can find is a Port for a machine (Ip)... [SlimDevices: Plugins] Browser streaming
I found a new website with some great classical music options. Streaming does not require a player like WMP, or VLC, etc. It is brower-based. I have no problem streaming to my PC via the browser, but short of casting, there does not seem to be a way to stream these stations to LMS. I've already inquired with the producer but wondered if there was a plugin or something that would make streaming to LMS easier. One question, which might be answered somewhere in the 600+ pages, if so apologies: The first post appears to be edited so as to be up to date, but specifies LMS 7.6 or 7.7 (which are official releases). What about 7.8 and especially 7.9? I suspect that the plugin will work with these, too, but since it doesn't say so I wonder.
