I tested Java 6, 7, and 8 from the archives from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/archive-139210.html. If you use the 32bit versions, they all work with MusicIP on Fedora 26, at least as far as loading the GUI. There are several errors in loading which are cosmetic only, and don't seem to affect the operation of MusicIP. I haven't tried analysis yet, but I'll update this thread when I do. matrixed99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1562 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107886 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Spicefly Fingerprint Metadata Extractor (MusicIP can it be reborn?)
Hi All, Announcing a little experiment, to see whether it's possible to resurrect MusicIP.. if your tracks are already MusicIP fingerprinted please read further and hoping you will help out :) The Issue MusicIP is a great piece of software but if you haven't scanned your music files its a long process to start from scratch. The Theory Is it possible to use other fingerprinting software to cross reference and build a new MusicIP metadata library from tracks already fingerprinted by MusicIP. If it's possible to build up 100k of the most common tracks then that would go a big way to solving the issue and the user then might only have to scan a few hundred tracks. What is Spicefly Fingerprint Metadata Extractor? SFME is a proof of concept software. Using AcoustID's Chromaprint open source audio identification fingerprinting software and then by running this against tracks that already have MusicIP fingerprints it copies the metadata and uploads it to the source server. The plan is to use crowd sourcing to build a much larger data model and study the metadata and see if there is any cross reference. How you can Help SFME is something I've been wanting to try out for a long time, so I learnt Visual C# over the last 12 months and bring you Version 0.1. If your tracks already contain MusicIP fingerprints, please download and run SFME on your tracks to aid the research effort. More information here; http://spicefly.com/article.php?page=spicefly-fingerprint-metadata-extractor www.spicefly.com - ** Spicefly SugarCube ** - A hassle free acoustic journey through your music library using MusicIP. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0
I'm using Spotty on LMS 7.9.0 on Mac OS 10.10. On Spotify, I've organized a large number of playlists in folders and subfolders, but accessing my playlists on Spotty simply shows them at one, flat level, displaying all the individual albums that are in my playlist folders. The folders aren't shown, as they are in the Spotify apps. Is this an unavoidable limitation, or would it be possible for Spotty to also show the folders? Many thanks. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0
I'm running LMS 7.9 on Mac (OS 10.10) with Spotty and it's working just fine - as long as I access it through iPeng or the Squeezebox apps on iOS. No problems. But when I try to use the web interface, Spotty doesn't show up under My Apps. For that matter, the earlier Spotify apps never did. Is there any way this can be changed so that it does show up through the web interface? Thanks! 1) You can arrange and deselect all of the items shown in iPeng. There should be an "Edit" button somewhere near the menu 2) you can deactivate plugins you don't want/use on the server side. karlek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64321 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I am using the latest version of iPeng on my iPad to control my Transporter and I'm liking it very much as a replacement for the Squeezebox controller which will not work when Apple releases iOS 11. I don't see high memory use when the headless MusicIP server starts I just find it takes 2 minutes 40 seconds before I finally see "server starting on port 10002" in my putty window. I have added a 3 minute start up delay in max2play to allow the MusicIP server to start first. I have no idea why this is happening.
