Yes, I only have credentials of that one account. Funny thing is that it does seem to work for a while after a restart of the service. If I then start playing something very quickly it stays like that. But if I restart the service and try to play something in half an hour the player does not show up in the client anymore. I believe you are talking about the long weather text. In the advanced settings page you can set Long Forecast Frequency to never and that should solve your problem. I have just 1 more plugin enabled (IRBlaster) which is also owned by root and works fine. I suspect that the plugins should be owned by 'squeezeboxserver'. Whenever I try and enable another plugin LMS breaks (does not load) and the log shows all those permission errors. I eventually worked out that LMS will load again if you remove the downloaded plugin file. At this point I dont think that this is worth pursuing anymore. My system appears to have some corruption - it is VB v2.3 and 2.5 is apparently on its way sometime so I think that it best that I start off with a clean system and try again. The above "review" or ROON is quite superficial or even quite a nonsense according to my opinion. Based on the extensive meta data you can surf in the UI of ROON through your music library like in Wikipedia, to read information on artists, composers, related music and the like, which is an experience LMS can not offer. Further, the integration of TIDAL music with your own music library in the form of local flac files (or files of other format) is marvelous, and you have the same rich meta data for the TIDAL music you added to your library as for the locally stored music. Whether a certain album is provided by TIDAL and therewith is to be heard via streaming from TIDAL servers or is present in the form of local music files makes no difference. Further, MQA high resolution files provided by TIDAL are supported. Nevertheless, LMS is great, and I love it and use both, i.e LMS and ROON. At my two main listening places I can alternatively use both (media room: LMS via Transporter, ROON via Bluesound Node 2; living room; LMS via Squeezebox Classic 3, Roon via Bluesound Node 2). All other relevant rooms are equipped with Squeezebox Radios. At said main listening places I tend to prefer ROON, due to the rich meta data. But I certainly will stick to LMS, even on the long term. Therefor I have stocked some replacement Squeezebox devices. For having a good UI experience, however, you need quite powerful hardware for ROON. Roon Labs recommends Intel NUCs for the so-called ROON ROCK, which are not very expensive. I use instead the "normal" ROON server, since I had a powerful DELL server anyway. I recommend to try ROON, which can stream also to Squeezebox devices, and to make use of the advantages of "both worlds". Not sure if it can explain the strange operational symptoms but as far as the server connection issues goes; Music will play, always to the end of a track (even when i assume the server link has failed) I may get an opportunity to play the next track but often that option is no longer available (the 0lay now / play next etc list blanks out). Its clear then that nothing is happening and i cannot load any further information. I don't have access to many different devices and mainly rely on each browser in each device adhering to modern web standards. Local tracks has not been prioritized yet, but I will try to make it work as soon as I get the time (I mainly use spotty/spotify and podcasts myself). It would be great to know the current coverage when it comes to different platforms/devices (ideally I would like to create some kind of device compatibility matrix). My problem is that a while ago the spotify connect feature became very "erratic". It sometimes just stops working and then after a couple of restarts it comes back again. What I noticed is that it never works when the "disableDiscovery" flag is set to 1. But for some reason it keeps switching back to that, even if I deactivate the checkbox or edit the spotty.prefs (while the LMS is turned off) it comes back after a while and then my phone and macbook are not able to "see" the player anymore. That flag would be set if the helper crashed a few times within a few minutes (I think 3x in 5 minutes). Because if that happens we can assume discovery doesn't work, but makes the helper crash. Therefore the plugin disables discovery mode. Sometimes it starts complaining about the port already being used. A
reboot is required to remove these port settings and make it possible to
install a new package.

I was wondering if there is a way to use SDT on a Boom, but not have the display scroll, specifically, when it is off. I would like to see the weather icon, the temperature, time and date on the two lines of the display when the Boom is off. But, as I said, I don't want it to scroll. OK, so I removed both Logitech Media Server and LMSRepack and tried to install the latest version. However, it just doesn't install.
