I used Shuffle from Spotify. As written earlier today I think shuffle is still broken in the library I'm using. It's likely a problem I introduced with 2.1.2 (which was quickly followed with .3/.4/.5 without fixing that issue). Spotty 2.1.6 (like 2.1.5) is severely broken. I wouldn't call it severely :-). - If you select via iPhone Spotify app a Squeezebox Radio, and after that any other device (iPhone or another Squeezebox Radio) then both devices are playing. If I jump through my 4 Squeezebox Radios are all playing. Yep, saw this today, too. Will look into this. - Sometimes (quite often to be honest) switch to Squeezebox Radio is ignored. I attached a part of the log when this happened:24534 Thanks for that link! In this case Spotify was responding with an unexpected status code (202 instead of 200). That's not documented, though the response itself seems to be quite complete. I mentioned this a few posts up the page but maybe it has been overlooked. Spotify Connect no longer works from the Android app. A player can be be selected and plays music but after that it all goes wrong. 1. Impossible to switch to another player. 2. If a different track is selected it does not appear on the now playing screen. 3. The now playing screen is not available if the app is closed and reopened so the selected player cannot be controlled. The only thing I don't get to work is shuffle. I believe this is an issue in the underlying librespot code. It was fixed recently, but that branch of the code currently is undergoing major changes. Therefore I'm not using it yet. I run LMS on a server running WHS2011. I just made sure I had 2.1.6, unchecked the box -Don't announce...- and enable connect for my Touch. Opened Spotify on my MBP, connected my Touch and it started to play immediately. :) The only thing I don't get to work is shuffle. When I press the button it turns green, but at the end of a song it goes to the next in the playlist and the button turns grey again. I tried it on my Iphone 7 as well, but it's the same. With four family accounts added to Spotty in LMS on Windows 10 I can only one use one account. On the other Android devices (with the other Spottify accounts) the player is not visible of when the squeezbox player is selected the songs are not playing. Multiple accounts are not working with spotty on windows? I just pushed 2.1.6 which is another attempt at getting the Windows version in par with the other platforms... Make sure you go to Settings/Advanced/Spotty to disable the "disable local discovery" option. It's set by default on Windows. You never said sync with video was your objective - if so I would have
told it won't work at the start as I have repeated many time in this
thread..
If you use a player such as mplayer or VLC which can split audio and
video timing (e.g. often for a user with an AV receiver which adds a
delay audio processing) - you may be able to have acceptable playback
but it will be trial and error and may vary each time.
You didn't say what delay a plain TCP connection has compared to the
total delay incl LMS so as to know where the delays occur and what you
can do to minimise them.
Altering scheduling priority will only matter if processing is the cause
of the delay and not buffering or network delays - you need to analyse
the source of the delay rather than change random settings
If delay is on side of "arecord" capture there are plenty of ALSA
parameter than can be tweaked.
If delay is on side of "arecord" processing the using ecasound has even
more control with repects to realtime stuff as well as threads for
input/output and double buffering as IIRC arecord is very simple single
thread..
If delay on side of LMS - then "bufferthreshold" can be tweaked. By
default the plugin will use the Radio Station Timeout setting to
determine how much data is bufferred before playing starts. You can
override this by adding your own routine to return a value by adding the
Perl routine

Start with 100 but too small (i.e. often less than 50) and stream will
stutter - 255 is the max value.
Increasing the sample rate (i.e. 96kHz vs 44.1kHz) will make a faster
data stream, fills buffers quicker and so enable the player to strat
playing sooner but puts a bigger strain on CPUs and network.
