I should think so. Can I put it in the folder via a Samba share? You could certainly transfer it using Samba, but unlikely put it in the right place. I've uploaded a small plugin "SpottyV2Bin". Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.0.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
The connect functionality works rather well. It is just that whenever I reboot the computer, or even stop and start LMS, the " Don't announce" option is ticked again, and my Squeezebox does not show up in Spotify. Apparently the option is not stored in the plug-in settings. Is this by design? It is stored. But if it's set, then it's set because the announcement mode caused too many crashes. If you remove the flag, it would go through a bunch of crashes again before the plugin decided to disable the feature again. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.9.0 - now with experimental Spotify Connect support!
Jumping right to the question, rather than waiting for the end: can I play my playlists in reverse? I like to play the recent additions first. The Spotify app on iphone has a setting. If you enable it in the app, wouldn't it play that way in Connect mode? I wouldn't know of any way in LMS mode (unless, of course, I implement that feature...). -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Jumping right to the question, rather than waiting for the end: can I play my playlists in reverse? I like to play the recent additions first. The Spotify app on iphone has a setting. And the rest of this post: I got my Squeezebox a few months ago. That led to a hifiberry running max2play. I use a desktop to host my LMS and I use the web interface and iPeng to control the players. I had read some of these posts and tried to understand how to get Spotty running with my setup. But today was the first time that I actually looked into the interface and tried to check the right boxes. I was shocked when it took only a few minutes. I see people selling their squeezeboxes on ebay and craiglist because of no spotify support. Hah. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Maybe I can help someone having dificulty with setting up a Sambashare with Max2Play. I recently purchased an Allo Digione Player, and connected an external hard drive to the unt. When I set up Max2Play with SqueezeLite, I changed the player name from the default to "SqueezeBox" or something similar in the basic settings section. The music played fine, but I couldn't get a Sambashare for access to the files on the external HDD to work. This morning, on a hunch, I changed the player name back to "Max2Play" rebooted and used the default terms for setup of the network share as stated at the bottom of the filesystem mount page, saved it, added a password, saved again. Problem solved! Love the Digione Player by the way. It's most frustrating > as after many years of not working with Spotify the Spotty plugin as > brought it new life ! Any thoughts apart from 'get a more modern > device?' The player with firmware 40 is a SB1 which cannot play AAC natively and cannot play Flac so AAC is transcoded into 48KHz PCM which has no header so SB1 plays it has 44.1Khz. I'm not clear what you are talking about wrt Spotty as this a BBCiPlayer thread. That is the problem and has been true for all files & stream 48kHz AAC on SB1 - not just BBCiPlayer and known for a long time ( http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?6405-48KHz-playback ) AFAICT no solution has been posted over the years. The only solution I can think of is to add sox in the "AAC-> PCM" trasncoding for SB1 to ensure a 44.1kHz but this will put a load on the LMS processor. No details on your LMS server - so the following is for a Linux based server. If lines below are edited to use correct MAC address (i.e. replace with AMAC of your SB1) and then saved in a custom-convert.conf file (make sure tabs are saved as tabs and not spaces) in the same directory as the LMS convert.conf file then after LMS restart LMS will always convert AAC streams to the device with MAC address into 44.1Khz streams. MAC address of player can be found in LMS WebUI Setting/Information tab or on label of player. Code: aac pcm * aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff # IF [faad] -q -w -f 1 -b 1 $FILE$ | [sox] -q -t wav $FILE$ -t raw -r 44100 -c 2 -2 -s - In theory for all SB1 type devices - the following would work. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
IPeng shows wrong random playlist for the current player .? Yes web UI and iPeng show different playlist , what iPeng shows is some mixup off what im Browsing part of the real playlist and some random stuff ? And the playlist is very short . Not at all as the current playlist for my player ? LMS web UI has the correct list all the time . If I add more stuff the list get correct again or if kill iPeng completely and restart . Suppose this happens when iPeng has been in the background in the background. This is not new but today it was more prevalent than usual , Ive seen similar things in the past the wrong covers have temporarily been in the playlist but it fixed itself in seconds Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
