I'm experimenting with a couple approaches and I have a question for you. When you wish to mute the player, what is preferable about muting vs pausing? Right now, I have muting working in the tray menu and it will indicate whether the player is muted via a check mark. This means that I must update the tray menu indicator whenever a new player is selected, on startup, or even if the player gets muted from another computer. I have it working, but then I asked myself, why not just do pause? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
In iPeng I follow a similar paradigm. I dont use the server-supplied menus for the local library because they are too lacking but what I _do_ is that I use their menu entries in the main menu to get the parameter set used to create them. This is important to support things like additional browse modes and particularly the virtual libraries., otherwise you miss those parameters. --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 9, the Universal App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

It's too limited, with enforcing server sort, limiting what metadata is sent on the listing, etc. Just too many compromises - I prefer the current method. I know I could get all the meta data with multiple calls, but without using SlimBrowse I don't need to. I looked into adding the 'More' menu options for local library and to be honest, not sure I see the point to these - however, I will try to implement. I am using it for Favorites (as the other method does not give cover images) and for Radios. I will also try to use for Apps - but even here there are issues with the Band Campout app. The current implementation is quite limited, and is very similar to the non-SlimBrowse method, and I need to add support for other actions, etc. Currently the choice of a single Artist list (Artists and AlbumArtists) or separate lists is respected, and controlled from the server. The additional browse modes (e.g Classicial music with composer, etc) is supported. I've added an item to my TODO to support the extra modes - those controlled via the checkboxes. These will be placed under the "More" main menu option. (There also seems to be a slight issue where not all the entries in "More" are added/shown) cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

But the tray menu would not indicate the muting state, it would just issue the command to toggle muting. Better would be for tray menu to determine muting state of player and show Mute or Unmute as appropriate. And I think it would be a good idea to have a button in the taskbar thumb for muting as well. SLX would send the mute command to the server for whatever player is currently selected. So I have just convinced myself that we want the premium solution. I've added it to the queue. Check I dont know at the question What are you building?. Agree on all terms. Press submit. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Hi @ all, first i want to say thank you Philippe for the great work of the UPnP-DLNA bridge! Now to my problem: My Hardware / Software: QNAP SS-439 (Intel x86) with LMS (Version: 7.9.2 - 1539967036) and UPnP-DLNA bridge (Version: 1.6.3) and a BOSE SoundTouch 20 (Firmware: 19.0.13) I want to stream my music from my NAS (QNAP) to my BOSE SoundTouch 20 with the Logitech Media Server GUI. At first it works! :-) But my problem is that the BOSE SoundTouch 20 only plays one title of my music list. If i click a title in the music list to play it works - but if the title ends the next wont play till i stop and start or restart the UPnP-DLNA bridge. So please can you tell me what i am doing wrong!? Could it help if I post the configuration file (upnpbridge.xml) here? Thanks a lot for helping! As stated, I have no real squeezeboxes. But *how* do you stop the player? i.e. what I'd like to do is simulate a stop (and start?) so that I can test how things behave. Is there a way on the web ui to stop the player? If you stop your player - does the queue disappear from the skin? If you then start the player, does the skin then show the queue? cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Personally, I would like to see the playlist when the player is powered off, as is the case with the default webUI, then I can decide if I wish to resume it or play something different :o The default webUI shows the playlist for all my players, whether they're powered on or off. *Study/Server - LMS 7.9.2 -* Pi3B+/pCP 4.0.0/pi screen/HiFiBerry DAC+/jivelite, 25K library and playlists on WDMyCloud, LMS cache on a USB stick (formatted ntfs). *Lounge* - Pi2/pCP 4.0.0 > HiFiBerry DIGI+ > AudioEngine DAC1 > AVI DM5 *Dining Room* - Pi3B/pCP 4.0.0 > HiFiBerry AMP+/retro radio *Garage* - Pi3B/Pi screen/HiFiBerry DAC+/pCP 4.0.0 > Edifier R980T *In car* - RPi3B/pCP in AP mode > HiFiBerry DAC+ > car's audio (files on a 2TB USB drive) *Spares* - 1xTouch, 1xSB3, 1xRadio, 1xBoom kidstypike's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10436 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

If I use pause instead it causes issues with the BBC iPlayer plugin where the station would resume from the paused position rather than play the current programme when powered on. BUT my Touch is also in the "stopped" state and the playlist is visible. So I think the Radio is stopping and switching off since when I power on again (before it completely powers down) the playlist reappears in Material. In this Stopped/Off state the Default skin of LMS does show the playlist. I was switching players off with Orange Squeeze (something else I hadn't done before and struggled to find) and Material would not turn them back on [emoji3] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk slartibartfast's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35609 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Can you do this from the default web UI? Currently the skin will only fetch the playlist if the player is "on" cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

This is a little embarrassing, but I put the 1/0 the wrong way round in the power commands! If you want to fix for yourself, edit -MaterialSkin/HTML/material/html/js/toolbar.js- and change the "1" on line 172 to a "0", and the "0" on line 176 to a "1" I never switch off my speakers via LMS, so never noticed! Thanks, update and volume issues appear to be fixed. If a player is powered off when opening Material on my phone, then there is no playlist, I can't carry on from where I left off. I can't power on the player using Material, as the player on/off switch(s) appear not to work. If I power the player on by some other means, then the playlist appears and I can resume playing it. *Study/Server - LMS 7.9.2 -* Pi3B+/pCP 4.0.0/pi screen/HiFiBerry DAC+/jivelite, 25K library and playlists on WDMyCloud, LMS cache on a USB stick (formatted ntfs). *Lounge* - Pi2/pCP 4.0.0 > HiFiBerry DIGI+ > AudioEngine DAC1 > AVI DM5 *Dining Room* - Pi3B/pCP 4.0.0 > HiFiBerry AMP+/retro radio *Garage* - Pi3B/Pi screen/HiFiBerry DAC+/pCP 4.0.0 > Edifier R980T *In car* - RPi3B/pCP in AP mode > HiFiBerry DAC+ > car's audio (files on a 2TB USB drive) *Spares* - 1xTouch, 1xSB3, 1xRadio, 1xBoom kidstypike's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10436 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
