Nomen Nescio wrote:

Ok, it seems that Pie changed the volume buttons behavior slightly. To
receive any sort of media button events an app has to create something
called a "MediaSession" which basically lets an app report to the system
it's playback state, the currently playing media's metadata, artwork for
the media (which is what get shown on the lockscreen), etc. Apparently
in Pie, volume button presses are only be sent to an app if it reports
itself as currently playing media. Squeeze Ctrl sets it's MediaSession's
playback state according to the playback state of the Squeezebox it is
controlling.

So try start playing a song and see if the volume control buttons work.

Of course, this could also be related to the problem of the bluetooth
buttons not working, so it might not work until I fix that too.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AAC+ Transcoding help needed.

2018-12-09 Thread Wirrunna

I could not get AAC radio stations to play until JohnB sent me a PM with
the AAC custom-convert.conf entry he uses -
aac flc * 00:04:20:23:09:e3
# IFT
[faad] -q -w -f 1 $FILE$ | [InguzDSP] -id "00:04:20:23:09:e3" -wav -wavo
-d 24 | [flac] -cs -0 --totally-silent -

I modified the InguzEQ plugin.pm to replace the aap entry in the
template used to generate custom-convert.conf,

Code:

  # transcode for 24-bit FLAC output (sb2, sb3, transporter)
  sub template_FLAC24
  {
return <<'EOF1';

  aac flc * $CLIENTID$

InguzEQ then generates the following custom-convert.conf

Code:

Hi
I don't know how/where to enable info logging for plugin.spotty. Anyway
it started working probably due to restart and update to the newest

Yeah I have tried the static solution without success (I have been
plugging away at this for the past week or so). Thanks for the reminder
though, I haven't tried that yet today:o.

It seems to me that the "generating" bit is timing out before it should.

I have that Plugin working both on a Joggler and a Raspberry Zero.

In the settings-section of the plugin under "Select Binary", I needed to
selected the *-static version. That did the trick for me.
Hope this helps.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Problem installing Airplay bridge

2018-12-09 Thread Man in a van

I am having difficulty installing *philippe_44*'s Airplay bridge
(v0.4.7.1) on the following devices:

1) O2 Joggler running Squeezeplay OS

2) Raspberrypi 3b running Raspbian Stretch with desktop
and
3) Shuttle XS35GS V3 running Debian Stretch with Raspberry Pi Desktop
(the Raspberry Pi Desktop OS for PC and Mac - based on Debian Stretch).

It installs on:

4) Raspberrypi 3b running piCorePlayer

All devices are running the latest LMS v7.9.2 nightly.

Device #1 and 2 display essentially the same failure message in the
Server log file

Code:

When I click OK on the box to generate the config file, the piCorePlayer
takes about 15 seconds to load.

The devices that fail timeout after about 1second (or less even).

Im sure in the past I have installed the plugin on both the Joggler and
the rpi running Raspbian (but the latter might have been the lite
version).

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I should re-look at this. As I recall, adding the option to not run in
background was added along the way. Originally when the computer goes
to sleep SLX would close any open Windows. I never thought about that
when I added the option to not run in background that closing the window
would also terminate the app if running in background is disabled.
DUHH! This just didn't occur to me until you just mentioned it.

I'll fix this soon. SLX should not terminate when the computer goes to
sleep. Thanks for mentioning this to me.

2018-12-09 Thread pppaul

Hi,
I have experienced problem with keeping Spotify Connect connection. It
was broken every song. Spotify is very sensitive to network parameters.
The thing that helped me ro resolve problem - router preferences:

Now it workes perfect.
Thank you, Michael. Great work!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.6.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox

2018-12-09 Thread ElFishi

Hello there,

I am currently experiencing repeated crashes of the spotty daemon in my
current (new) system setup:

- RPi 3B+, pCP4.0+LMS(7.9.2 - 1543258616 @ Mon Nov 26 20:30:03 CET
  2018), jivelite + 3,5" screen
- RPi zero, pCP4.0
- SB3

After playing OK for quite some time the music stopped and the Spotify
app became disconnected from the players.
Every time now I try to reconnect, the daemon crashes (log-0 attached).
This also happens when I unsync the players.
In this situation restarting LMS or even pCP doesn't help (log-1).

I can select and play music from the Spotty application in the LMS web
gui.
Connect from the Win 10 spotify app is completely broken.

As a "test" I did a quick and dirty plugin "remoteControl" for TP-Link
wifi socket device (e.g HS100) which has a simple HTTP API . If you can
find a simple HTTP API for the hub you should be able to modify it

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugin to trigger activities on Logitech Harmony Hub?

2018-12-09 Thread phaze75

Hi,

I was wondering I somebody has thought about (and maybe started working
on) a plugin to integrate 'Logitech's Harmony Hub'
(https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/harmony-hub?crid=60). I am
thinking about a very simple integration with the alarm clock
functionality of LMS. For example to switch on the light with the alarm
or to open the window shades. The corresponding activities are already
available on the Harmony Hub and would only need to be triggered via
WIFI connection.

Best regards! ;)

OK, thanks.
I think first of all I will try and upgrade my QNAP OS, which I have
been delaying for too long. I'll keep you informed if this is enough to
solve the issue.
